Hi again, my amazing readers! A big thanks for reading the book! You guys are all so awesome! Anyways, let's keep going with the story.

Side note: The bolded words are black Zetsu speaking and the non-bolded ones are white Zetsu. Have fun!

************

That night, when Sasori and Rin got back to the hideout, all the members were already waiting for them in the kitchen doorway. Heads poked out from the doorframe, curious to see where the two shinobi had gone. When they came back dripping with water, everyone scrambled o the dining table and tried to act innocent.

Rin and Sasori glanced at the Akatsuki members when they passed them, but otherwise showed no acknowledgement as both headed off to their own rooms to shower and dry off.

"I'll be there in a sec," Rin called. "I'll cook dinner as I promised."

"Hey, she remembered!" Kisame said after the puppeteer and medic nin were out of earshot.

"What do you f*cking expect, Kisame? She's very responsible. She's got a good head on her shoulders, unlike you, b*stard," Hidan snarled. He was irritated and hungry. Konan glared at him while Itachi restrained an outraged Kisame.

"Hidan! What did I say?"

"Konan," he complained. "There are males at this table." The Jashinist stopped his swearing, nonetheless.

A few minutes later, Rin came out with Sasori in tow. She smiled as cheerily as she could and said,

"Well, I'll be cooking dinner now, then. Sorry for the wait, guys."

"You better be sorry! We're starving, kiddo!" Half the males at the table said something close to that. Rin glanced at them and smiled tiredly. Konan, seeing this, narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

The Akatsuki enjoyed a peaceful dinner - or at least, a dinner as peaceful as it got in the hideout. However, Rin's heart wasn't in it, and everyone could tell. Sasori himself fell asleep at the table, much to everyone's surprise. While some male teens snickered and others tried to suppress a smile, Rin took it upon herself to glare at everyone and shoo them out of the dining room. When everyone had left, she squeezed Sasori's shoulders gently. He opened his eyes and looked at Rin. Immediately, he glanced away, his cheeks quickly turning crimson. Rin smiled softly at the puppeteer and tugged on his arm gently.

"Let's go," she whispered. "You need to rest." Sasori allowed himself to be led down the hallway and into his room.

"Thanks. You better rest too," he grudgingly said. "Go."

"I'll see you in bed first," Rin said.

The kunoichi blushed when she realized how odd her sentence sounded. Sasori was too tired to contradict. He climbed into bed and instantly fell asleep. Rin gazed at him for a while, then returned back to the dining table, where the Akatsuki were once again seated around, trying to look innocent.

"What did you do this time?" Rin asked, seeing past their disguised expressions with no difficulty.

"W-What do you mean, Rin? We didn't f- UHH. Fancy doing anything," Hidan attempted, making big round eyes at Rin. In reply, the Medic-Nin rolled her eyes.

"Like-"

"Like she's going to believe that, idiot," Itachi said,  accidentally cutting through Rin's sentence. He glanced at her and gestured for her to speak.

"You said what I was going to say," Rin said. "I've got nothing to add." Hidan glared at the duo. Itachi and Rin glanced at each other, a droplet of amusement entering each shinobi's eyes.
