The next few days continued with Hana finding her favourite candies in her shoes and small trinkets in her desk. All with notes containing the same things; a cute doodle, or a sorry, but both had the initial 'U' after it.
It was on the third day, a Friday, that Hana did not find candies or any sort of trinket. She would been lying is she said she wasn't the smallest bit disappointed, but Hana shook off the feeling and continued on her day.
The reason for the candy's absence wasn't revealed until lunch, when, after Megumi had departed to eat lunch with a friend, Hana felt something tap on her head and scatter on the desk.
She looked away from the book and blinked, picking up the tiny banana shaped candy. She looked around before she popped it in her mouth.
Soon, another candy had dropped on her head, this time a watermelon one, and she scooped that one up too. Finally tilting her head upwards to see Ushijima's face peering over hers.
"Can I eat lunch with you?" He asked, and Hana nodded to him, watching as he sat down in Megumi's seat, and unwrapped his lunch.
Hana pushed her table up to his and adjusted her seat as she dug in her bag for her lunch, unwrapping it and praying with Ushijima before they began to eat. He was peering at her curiously.
"If we're going to eat together," Hana said eventually, staring valiantly at her food. "Then we're not doing it a foot from each other."
There was a chuckle and Hana looked at Ushijima, who wore an almost-smile. "Fair enough," he replied and Hana looked back down at her food. "How's your face?"
Hana lifted a hand to her nose, brow furrowed. "My—?" Her eyes widened. "Oh, well, my face is fine. Still a little sore though."
Ushijima frowned at her, looking as if it pained him to see her the way she was before he looked down at his food and picked at the peppers. "Sorry." He said, and Hana looked up in surprise.
"Sorry?" She repeated. "Why are you saying that?"
"Because I injured you," Ushijima replied easily, placing down his chopsticks to tub his hands together nervously. "You must be sore..."
Hana shook her head. "And you've already apologise and it's fine now," she assured him. "You're forgiven. It was an accident. They happen to the best of us."
Ushijima frowned at Hana. "So... you're not mad?" He asked, and she rolled her eyes.
"No," she told him. "I'm not mad." She nudged his shoulder and grinned up at him. "Now, come on, lunch isn't going to eat itself!"
Ushijima blinked at her before nodding and turning back to his own meal, picking up his chopsticks before he hesitated over the rice.
"Are you related to Aihara Jun?" Ushijima asked suddenly and Hana paused, chopstick halfway to her mouth. "Captain of the basketball team?"
"He's my older brother," Hana said slowly, turning to look at the brunet. "Why?"
Ushijima shrugged and turned back to his food. "No reason."

Hana once again found herself trapped at a table with Yuki.
What had once been Hana, Erika and Megumi's tradition to go get ice cream once a month now included a fourth, and Hana was the least pleased out of the group.
As, A) Yuki had kindly informed the rest of the group all while looking pointedly at Hana, that ice cream contained sugar and calories, and B) Yuki had managed to convinced them all into getting fresh fruit parfaits, which wouldn't have been bad at all, except that the parfaits were made out of fresh cream and not the sugary one.
