Tris' point of view

"Dad," I whisper over and over into his freshly pressed white shirt. "I missed you so much. I love you."

"I love you too, Tris," he responds.

"You called me by my new name!" I say in astonishment.

"Well it's who you are now," he says with a smile. He puts a hand on mom's shoulder and finishes, "and it's our job as your parents to except that you've changed. We're so proud of you."

"Forget about us?" a new voice says. I whirl around and come face to face with Uriah. Fast as a striking viper he pulls me into a quick hug, then holds me an arms length away and says, "Tris, welcome to the after life!"

Tobias' point of view

I slowly opened my eyes and sat up in my bed. I tiredly walked into the living room.

"Hi!" a voice shouted in my ear.

"Shit!" I screamed and grabbed for my knife. I whirled around only to come face to face with a white faced Christina.

"Jesus you scared me," I scolded, reluctantly putting my knife down.

"I can see that," she replied with a shaky breath. She took a seat on the couch while I made a cup of coffee. I forgot I let her spend the night on my couch.

"Did you sleep ok?" I asked.

"As well as I could," she said sadly. "I can tell you want to be alone. Call me or Zeke if you want a friend." she moved towards the door.

"Wait!" I called. She stoped. "I don't want to be alone." I said in a whisper. She walked towards me and put a hand on my shoulder.

"I'll make you some breakfast," she said, and bustled off to the kitchen. I knew that she was close, but I've never felt so alone.
