We went with our simple, but comfortable plan after all. After explaining everything to my dad, he was more than accepting of our decision.
And so, me and Bokuto left the tiny town and moved to a bigger one. Finding jobs wasn't easy, but after a couple of weeks we had settled down in a small apartment on the outskirt of the city.
Bokuto got a job at some company, it didn't have many requirements and the pay was good. I was hired to work as journalist. Keep in mind that I had no experience or social skills to work as one, but they were desperate for someone who could write short articles about something that happened in town.
Most of the articles were about someone's pet, problems including money and other minor stuff. Very rarely did I get to write about a burglary.
However, I realized one thing - I had a passion for writing. I found myself in words that magically appeared after a few movements of my hand. Now it was no long rain that gave me comfort, it was writing aswell.
My relationship with Bokuto kept getting better and better. As time went by we got closer and closer. Soon, we could understand eachother from one movement of a hand.
The apartment that we rented at first was soon too small for us, and with a little bit of help from our parents and friends - we bought a small house in the woods nearby.
Most people avoided buying it since it was so isolated from the outside world, but it was perfect for me and Bokuto. Not to mention, the quiet and mysterious atmosphere gave me even more motivation to write. Soon, I started working on my very first book.
I wasn't sure what genre it was gonna be, I opened my laptop and started writing the words that came into my mind. I didn't even notice how fast the midnight came and how fast I wrote around 20 pages. After re-reading them I realized that I was writing a mystery-romance novel about a young woman who fell in love with a mysterious man she saw at the bus stop once.
I let Bokuto read everything that I wrote, he would give me some suggestions from time to time, he was cheering for me.
I remember one day Bokuto invited me to go somewhere. We stayed on a narrow path in the woods and kept going further and further into them until we reached the end and endless plains of colorful flowers opened in front of our eyes.
"How did you find this place?" I asked as I was still in shock.
"I just followed the path one day, came across this. It have me courage to do something" Bokuto said. I turned to him as I was confused by his words, but felt my knees going weak as I saw what he was doing.
He was kneeling on one knee, a blue velvet box in his hands. He opened it and revealed a beautiful diamond ring.
"Akaashi, will you make me happiest man in the world and marry me?"
