Bible Study on Creation

In the bible in Genesis 1:1 we read: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. This is from the King James Version of 1611.

In the Webster's dictionary create: to bring into being: cause to exist, or make, or produce. So God created or caused to exist or made or produced from the beginning.

Verse 21- And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Verse 27- So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

In Genesis 2:3,4- And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested form all his work, which God created and made. These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, Genesis 5: 1,2- This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God created he him; Male and female created he them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

In Genesis 6:7,8- And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man and beast, and the creeping thing and the fowls of the air: for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Grace means unmerited help given to people by God; a virtue coming from God and the definition is from Webster's dictionary.

In Exodus 20:11- for in 6 days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. ( this shows that in 6 days that the Lord made or created the heaven and the earth, the sea and all that in them is- that means everything in heaven, earth and the sea.)

In Deuteronomy 4:32,33- For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since God created man upon the earth, and ask from one side of heaven, unto the other side, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing, or hath been heard like it? Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire as thou hast heard and live? ( All Israel with Moses at the mount when the Lord gave the 10 commandments.)

In Psalm 51:10- David's prayer-Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Psalm 89:11,12-The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine, as for the world and the fullness thereof, thou hast founded them. The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name. (Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon)

Psalm 102:18- this shall be for the generations to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord.

Psalm 104: 30- Thou sendest forth thy spirit and they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

Psalm 148:5- Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.

In Ecclesiastes 12:1- Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

In Isaiah 4:5-And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defense.

Isaiah 40: 26- Lift up your eyes on high and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; and not one faileth. Verse 28- Hast thou not known: hast thou not heard that the everlasting God, the Lord the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
