Smile Dog x Fox Pup! Hurt! Reader

You whimpered as Jane carried your small and wounded body into the large mansion. Jane killed the hunters who killed your mother. She decided if Jeff has a pet, then she should have one to. Slenderman and Smiley looked over as Jane opened the door. "Jane, what is that?" Slenderman asked.

"It's just a fox pup! You should have seen the poor thing! Can I keep it?" Jane asked, Slenderman knew she was going to do the whole 'but Jeff has a dog' act as he groaned. "Fine. But you're responsible for it." Jane squealed before placing you on the ground.

"I'll be right back!" You watched as Jane left. Smiley hopped off the couch and trotted over to you. "Hi kid," you looked over at the red furred dog with a human smile, "how's it going?" You looked down as your ears bent down.

"I don't wanna talk about it." You answered before Smiley nodded. "Hey, just to let you know, Jane is an awesome girl. She'll take good care of you." You looked at Smiley and smiled. "Ok! Thanks Mr...?" "Smiley. Smile Dog." Jane came back with a medical kit and knelt down in front of you.

"Awww! You already made a friend! Let's get you patched up!" Jane picked you up and walked towards her room, Smiley followed at her heels as you looked down at Smiley. "How nice is Jane?" You asked, Smiley snickered. "Super nice. Best person you'll ever meet." Smiley answered as you all walked into her room.

- A week later -

You have really grown attached to Smiley. He protected you, played with you, shared his food, and even groomed you. You were sitting on the couch when Grin cat started to hiss. "You're in my spot, flea bag." Grin cat growled, you whimpered.

"I..I'm sorry! I..I..I didn't know!" You squeaked before Grin cat scratched your cheek. Smiley heard you help before racing to see you on the ground as Grin stood high in front of you. "I don't see why Jane wanted to keep a worthless runt like YOU."

Smiley growled before he lunged at Grin and bit him. Smiley threw Grin across the room and barked, Grin ran for his life. You were still whimpering before Smiley used his muzzle to lift your head and see the scratch. "Come on. Let's go to the tree."

You followed Smiley outside to a large twisted tree. It was kinda like a staircase. You both got into the opening of the tree before Smiley curled himself around you. He started to lick the cut as you remained quiet. "What did Grin say to you?" Smiley asked when he was done treating the cut.

"H..he called me a w..worthless r..runt..." You whimpered as tears slipped from your eyes. Smiley growled to himself before he started to groom your fire colored pelt. You relaxed and purred slightly since Smiley knew this always made you feel loved.

"Don't listen to that spoiled jerk. He's just jealous that you have a beautiful pelt." Smiley said as he nuzzled the side of your head. You nuzzled Smiley back before it started to rain. Smiley's tail wrapped around you as you wrapped your tail around yourself. The warmth and comfort made you drowsy before Smiley chuckled.

Smiley gently licked the top of your head gently before you started to sleep. Smiley laid his head on yours gently before he moved one of his paws over your small body. "I'll protect you, my little (y/n)." Smiley whispered before he fell asleep with you.
