Passion
Chicago, IL, 2016Today was Friday, and I hadn't spoken to Savon since Wednesday. I felt like he felt some type of way with me asking him that question, or maybe it was Brooke. He had his head so far up in her ass it was ridiculous.
A pinch on my butt knocked me out of my thoughts. I didn't even have to turn around to know who it was. Kaelani.
"You skipped first period without me? By the way, Mr. Brown gave us a shitload of homework."
"Of course and I overslept", I took my Literature book out of my locker replacing it with my Forensics textbook.
"Overslept? Mhm. I bet I know who had you oversleeping".
"Savon, right there!", she moaned loudly in my ear making me gasp. I playfully hit her as we continued walking down the hallway.
"You are so childish Kae. And he's mad at me anyway."
"Aw, that's why my Pashy-Pooh been all in her feelings lately", she squeezed my plump cheeks. I was not in my feelings at all, he had clearly chose who he wanted to be with and it wasn't me.
The bell rang dismissing everybody to the gym. Today was the pep rally for our football players. Everybody came to our pep rallies. It was always lit. And you know it's always a fight at the end, that everybody would be talking about the next day.
I sat at the very top, where it was less crowded. I guess without Kae I was sort of loner, but people still knew of me. I just chose not to mess with everybody.
I sat on the hard bleacher and stretched my long legs out accidentally kicking the person in front me.
"Dam-
"My bad.", I spoke before he could finish his sentence. I pulled my legs towards me.
"It's all good.", he turned back around.
I faced the court, ready to see the cheerleaders perform. That's where Kae was. That girl begged me to join the cheer squad, but it just wasn't my style. But I'm happy she found something she liked. I looked toward the entrance and saw Savon and his crew come in.
So you can come to the pep rally, but can't come to school? Typical Savon.
He was obviously avoiding me for some reason, so I wasn't gonna talk to him.
The boy turned around again,"Yo name Passion right?", he smirked.
"Yeah, why?", I questioned him. A lot of people knew me because of Savon. Like I said before, he's pretty known.
"I was wondering if you would wanna go out sometime? Like to go see a movie or something?", I was use to boys looking at me , even though most of them wouldn't dare speak to me because of Savon. But it was the few brave ones that would because they didn't care about him, and I would end up being the reason we stopped dating or talking. Because of him.
"Yeah that sounds-
"She gon' have to take a rain check bro. Ya feel me?"
The boy ignored Savon completely, "Friday okay?", he handed his phone over to me so we could exchange numbers. Before I could even grab it, Savon snatched it out of his hand, throwing it behind the bleachers. I could hear his phone crack in the distance.
"I said she was gucci nigga.", Savon got up in his face. The boy went off to find his phone, that I'm pretty sure no longer worked.
"Savon you ain't have to do allat", he hugged me, "that was unnecessary."
"Gimme some love, ain see you all week. Miss me? ", I knew he was drunk. His breath smelled like liquor and he tended to be touchy feely when he was drunk.
I stood up and hugged him back. I wrapped my arms around his neck while his draped around my waist.
"I missed you.", he whispered in my ear, his hands squeezed my butt.
"Wish I could say the same", I shrugged, dissing him. He smacked his teeth, and I laughed at how quick he had gotten mad.
"What now Pash?", he sat down.
"Nothing Von."
Trell came up the bleachers looking to sit beside Savon, but there were no more seats left.
"Here.", Savon picked me up, sitting me in his lap, while Trell took my original spot. I shook my head. The nerve of this nigga.
"Where my baybeh at?", Trell asked referring to Kaelani.
"Boy she don't want you.", I said flexing for Kae. It was no secret that they had a lil crush on each other.
"Oh thea' she go", he pointed as Kae twirled around in her uniform.
Savon pecked my nose. This nigga was always kissing me. "Let's get outta hea'"
"No, Kae and I are going out later."
"Where?", he was always in my business.
"Don't worry about it."
"Y'all betta not be goin to see no niggas."
"And if we were?", I challenged him.
"Girl don't play wimme. You and all of these niggas know betta'", as much as I hated to admit he was right. Boys knew not to approach me at all, and I knew better too.
"Whatever."
"Aight, we out this bitch.", he and Trell stood up. I'm not gon' lie, I felt some type of way about him leaving.
"Call me later?", he whispered in my ear and I nodded. I hated that. I felt like I was under a spell when I was around him. I wanted to be mad at him so bad, but that spell wouldn't let me.
I watched as he and Trell walked down the bleachers. What was I gonna do with him?
vote and lemme know what y'all think.
