millie
i painfully walked next door to sadie's house. it was monday, and we were on spring break.

i held a large pink suitcase big enough to fit oh in it. i took a rest as i reached sadie's door, and rung the pearl white doorbell.

she quickly opened it, as if she was standing right at it just waiting for me to ring. "oh my lord, millie," she eyed my bag. "it'll only be five days!"

"yeah, well, i need a bikini, a one piece, and another one piece. just in case the bikini falls off or something, and the one pieces are just back up." i explained, leaning against the tall suitcase that stood next to me.

sadie nodded, laughing under her breath. "noah!" she called up the stairs, seeing finn coming our way with a bag equally as big.

noah came tumbling down with a smaller bag that was a pastel blue. "are you all ready to go?" she asked, looking around at us. we all nodded.

"mom!" she called, her mom dashing in with a bag. "we're ready." sadie said, closing the door behind her.

we made our best to fit all five of us in one small car. noah sat in the middle of the back seat, and finn and i sat on both sides of him.

of course, sadie rode shotgun since she was the owner of the car. we exited her driveway and began our journey.

i peeked out the window. "i guess the sunshine's out today.." i said, smiling.

"it's always out when you're here." sadie said, smiling back at me. i didn't see a smug look on her mom's face, surprising me.

oh right. her mom operates the lgbt help hotline. and that's how i met sadie in the first place. i really need to get my priorities straight.

"looks like we have two young couples in this car, don't we?" asked sadie's mom.

"yes," sadie grabbed my hand. "and we're all proud of it."
