Rain drops
Splatter on the window
The car races to a destination
I don't really care about
I get lost in my music,
Not the music on the radio
My music
To mach my mood
I look out at the gray sky
That matches my gray heart
The world seems so much darker
I watch the car,
And people
And houses pass by,
I am lost in the motions
They consume me
The grey,
The rain,
The music,
The people,
Repeat.
This twisted rain storm
Consumes me
Untill
We pass your house
And I catch my mind
Being consumed with the thought
Of you
The thought of your lips on mine
The thought of a possible us
I am consumed by these thoughts
What does the inside of your house look like
I want to know what colour your curtains are ,
What books are on your shelf,
Is it messy or clean,
Modern or rustic?
I am consumed with the thoughts of you.
I stare at the rain drops on the window
And I wonder
How many tears do I have yet to shed
And how many will be for you?
