Diana went out to buy clothes and asked me to take care of the baby. She was lying in her crib, staring at the ceiling in silence. I approached and sounded out words, stretching them out, hoping she would repeat them. Instead she just looked at me curiously, tilting her head. I turned on the TV and found a program about ancient Egypt, which made her giggle and coo, pointing at the screen with persistence. I changed the channel and she almost cried, so we tuned back to Egypt to hear Akhenaten's story.
