Cheryl and Chelsea always insisted on having a separate birthday despite the fact that Jason and them were triplets, until one year, Jason randomly recommended that they combine their birthdays into one. It wasn't until years later that Cheryl discovered the reason for this, which was that no one would come to her nor Chelsea's birthday, so he protected them, and not just from that one incident, but their entire lives.

Chelsea knew everyone in Riverdale from the Coopers to the Kellers. But unlike her siblings Chelsea basically has no best friend. She looks up to Cheryl as her best friend. Although Cheryl has Josie, and Jason has Reggie and Moose.

It never bothered her though. Jason and Cheryl were enough for her.

It was the night before the first day of freshmen day. Chelsea was in Cheryl's room. Both of them jumping and dancing on the bed to the new Killer's song which was Chelsea's pick. Giggles and music filled the room. Jason poked his head in his sister's room and smiled at the two. "You're going to upset mom." Jason warned them.

As if on cue both Chelsea and Cheryl plopped down on the bed. Both out of breath and still laughing. "We're just celebrating our last day of summer." Cheryl said as she turned off the music. "We could've gone to pops if you like." Jason offered. Cheryl smiled mischievously but Chelsea's eyes widen and she looked out the window. "But it's late." she pointed out.

Jason smiled and said "It's barely eight pm." "I say we go to pops and get us some milkshakes." Cheryl squealed. Only the three could be this carefree with each other and no one else. "Mom's going to be furious." Chelsea said hesitantly. Among the three she was the worried parrot. "What she doesn't know won't hurt her." Cheryl said as she started getting ready. Jason then sat beside Chelsea and grabbed her shoulders "It's a new year for us Chels, be bold. Be fierce." Jason told her.

"I am fierce." Chelsea squeaked out. Cheryl let out a chuckle and said "You sounded like a kitten." Chelsea pouted and said "But--" before Chelsea could say a word Jason slapped his hand over her mouth and said "Chels, I love you. But seriously... we're old enough to sneak out and get some milkshakes."

"Besides it's not like we're doing some drugs." Cheryl said as she stood ready to go. Chelsea sighed. Suddenly grandma Rose rolled in the room slowly making Cheryl and Chelsea tense up. Cheryl's face already expressed her disappointment. "Don't worry, I'll cover for you." as she winked towards Jason. Jason smiled and nodded as he headed towards the window. Cheryl had a wide smile on her face while Chelsea was confused on what just happened.

Jason was the first to head out the window and he helped Cheryl out. He stuck his head back in and asked "Are you coming Chels?" as he held his hand out for her. Chelsea sighed as she stared at her grandma who was staring at her. Chelsea then quickly grabbed Cheryl's jacket and quickly brushed her hair not minding putting makeup on. Then she grabbed Jason's hand and got outside. The three of them climbed down the vines growing on the side of the house with ease.

Jason's a football player while Cheryl and Chelsea were River Vixens. Then they climbed over the brick gate and to Chelsea's surprise Moose was just a few meters away in his car. The three of them hopped into the car and headed towards Pop's diner.

Once they got there. Chelsea was shock to see many people at the diner. She saw Jughead and Archie sitting at one table (remember this is start of freshmen year. The series began at Sophomore year.) Then she saw a few of Jason's friends and a few other people from school. Mostly, everyone there was Chelsea's age.
