"Aye Justice when you gone let me hit?" Rj tried to whisper, but yelled out loud.

"Neva," I said as I flipped my curly hair over my shoulder.

It's good. I already fucked Journey ass anyway," I heard Rj say in response. He was just mad because his friends were clowning him. I started to turn around and go in on him, but I decided to let it go. I loved my sister Journey, but I was getting tired of hearing all of these slugs all the time. I mean damn, it was her pussy and we did need the money, but I never got used to that embarassing feeling. A part of me felt bad though because I knew that she was bringing more money in than I was to the table. I barely made minimum wage slaving at Agaci.

I finished taking notes for this class, and thanked God my teacher wasn't in one of her moods. I hated coming to school to deal with the locals' attitudes and mouths, but I hated going home even more.

I lived in the projects on Pine Tree with my sister. We were only allowed to stay there cause my sister fucked the person over the rent once a month, but at least we had somewhere to go. I always wore my jacket to school because I didn't have that many clothes. When school was over, I walked home. Most people would be glad to have three senior releases, but not me. I had to walk home every single day. Finally, I reached my apartment building.

I thought about taking the elevator, but the last time I pressed the button and waited for it, someone had peed on the floor. Everytime I thought about it, the piss smelling stench made me want to throw the fuck up. I took the stairs to fourth floor of the raggedy apartment building.

My name is Justice Summers. I know what you thinking. What kind of fucking name is Justice? Well, my sperm donor used to tell me my mama wanted to be a lawyer. I didn't believe that people could right their wrongs though. Anyway, this is my vougish ass life that I have to deal with. Some people may think that I think I'm better than others, but I don't. I'm just myself trapped in the hood right now.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I reached the top of the stairs and heard a lot of yelling. Hmm. Typical. Mrs. Georgia was standing out in the hallway smoking a cigarette watching Lou beat up this young thot, Mia, that was using him for his money.

I just shook my head and turned to go inside my apartment, but there was a basket right there. Inside of it was something wrapped in a yellow blanket. I started pulling on the cover and there was a baby wrapped inside. She was sleep. She was the cutest baby I had ever seen, but it looked like she had cried herself to sleep. I could see her breathing though, so I knew she was okay.

"Who baby is this?" I asked Mrs. Georgia nosey ass.

"I don't know. She was sitting out here when I came out."

"So you knew it was a baby out here and didn't try to see about her or call nobody or nothing?" I asked getting pissed off.

"Shit, she ain't mines. I done raised all of mines chile," she said as she took another puff.

I rolled my eyes at her and picked up the basket she was in. I took her inside my apartment building. It was nice, clean, and organized. You wouldn't even think it was a project apartment from looking at the outside. The blanket she was wrapped in stunk so fucking bad. I quickly threw it in the trash. I took her in the bathroom and wiped her down. Then, I called off for the day.

I knew Journey was going to be beyond pissed at me, but I just couldn't leave this baby outside. It would make me too much like my deadbeat dad. I went in the living room and watched t.v., while she slept.

"Hey sis! I'm glad you babysitting. You know we really need the extra money since our damn plumbing fucking up," Journey said as she came through the door half way through the Love & Hip hop Atlanta show.

"Umm I ain't exactly babysitting. This baby was sitting in front of our door when I came home from school," I explained.

"And what the fuck that got to do with us?" She said catching an attitude.

"What you mean what it got do with us? She was sitting in front of our damn door!"

       "She ain't our kid."

"Now, you know you would be looking real shit faced if somebody said that about one of us. Don't do that shit Journey," I said looking at her to let her know she was being a bitch about the situation.

"Yeah, yeah. Well, since ya ass always wanna save somebody, you need to find out where she came from. We can't raise no baby," she said as she walked back out the door to do only God knows what. I didn't understand why my sister did the things she did to get money. She was known all around Pond for being a hoe. I was grateful for the money she brung in, but I hated how she did it.

"Whatever." Damn, I can't wait until I go to college. I felt bad for thinking that, but sometimes Journey really got on my nerves. Sometimes, I could tell she thought she was my mama and we were the same age. I just charged it to the game and played with the baby when she woke up wondering who the fuck drops a baby off in the projects.
