I know a guy who lives in the city of Angeles. His name is Calvin. Calvin is just an ordinary guy who lives a simple life.

'A little bit of running, walking, and some sort of lyrics, beat and of course guitar, those are all for music, and It's how I prefer to describe my life. ' - Calvin

-

While in other parts of the same city, there she was. Samlone. She was entitled as "Sam the freaking loner" in her school.

Her life was filled with chaos and trouble for she lives with her two older step sisters who were mean to her. Her mother passed away when she was just a baby, her father works abroad and they barely have time to communicate.

''Um, Sam the loner, I broke your hair brush. And I have no plan to apologize because I mean it.'' said Beth.

''What? How could you? That's all I have left from my mother, I told you not to touch it!'' Sam blasted out.

''[rolls eyes] Oops. Sorry not sorry.'' Beth says sarcastically.

[Maggie enters]

''Hey, so you want to pick a fight on us? Huh? Then do it if you can, you little coward. Fight us if you're brave. [pushes Sam]'' Maggie pushed Sam excessively

"I knew she wouldn't have the nerve to fight us back ha-ha"

"Agreed! As if she has something to scare us, oopsie, aside from her ugly face, what else?"

"Hahahaha! Her name, her mother's name, her father, oh! Did I mentioned her whole life sucks!?"

They laughed as they humiliated Sam. Instead of reacting, she made her way towards her room. She knew she would never win a fight over her evil step sisters, pretending that she didn't give a damn about what lies they're blabbering.

-

A few hours later, when Sam finds it hard to sleep, she decided to give her father a call not minding about their different time zones.

''Hello?" Sam said hesitantly.

"Hello, who is this?" His father answered naively.

"Dad? Dad, it's me. It's Sam.[starts to sob quietly] I miss you.'' You can feel the excitement and longing in her voice.

''Oh, Sam. I miss you, too! I wish I was there with you. How are you and your sisters?'' her dad said ecstatically.

''Honestly, they're not treating me right. They always pick on me.'' Sam confessed such truth to her beloved father, as she wasn't able to hide it anymore.

"Really? Don't worry about that. I'll give Maggie a call." Her father gave her an assurance.

"What about you, dad? How are you? When are you coming back?" She asked simultaneously.

"I don't know, dear. Things at work are too complicated. You wouldn't understand."

"But I need you here. No one helps me here." Sam frowns.

"I'm sorry if I can't be there for you" A sudden sadness occurred between the line.

"Sam. Just remember that I love you, okay?" Her father add when she didn't answered.

"I love you too, Dad. Please come home soon." She finally answered.

After her short chat with her father, Sam bid him goodbye and tried to go back to sleep.

She wasn't really sleepy yet so she decided to go outside and roam the city under the moonlight.

As she was outside, Maggie received a call from their father.

"Hello who's this?!" She asked exasperatedly.

"I'm your father." Her stepfather answered.

"Oh ste- I mean, father! H-how a-are yo--" She didn't finished her sentence for she was cut by her dad.

"How's Samlone?" He asked frankly.

"W-well, I bet she's okay? Very okay, I g-guess so?" Maggie said hesitantly.

"So you're not even sure? Do you seriously think that I have no idea on what was goin' on there, huh? What is wrong with you?! The three of you are sisters no matter what! You shall not be divided by blood! For Pete's sake, Maggie! You're the eldest among the three of you!" He bursts out in anger. "I sacrificed my own life, my time, effort, I let my self drown in sadness, I've conquered miles and miles away just to work, pay the bills, provide your necessities and give you the education you need..." He calmly said, then he continues. "Before, before your mother died, I have promised that I will take care of you and Beth, I said I'll give you whatever you need. And likewise, when my dearest first wife dies, I gave her a promise, that I wouldn't let Samlone hurt, that I will protect her from anything, I will always make her happy and... and comfortable..." He let out a deep sigh before hanging the phone up.

After the long conversation, Maggie got scolded for not treating Sam right. She became furious and went to Sam's room to yell at her for telling their father.

Disappointed that she didn't find her there, Maggie stood by their door and waited for Sam to come home. As Sam continued to walk around, somewhere out of the blue, she accidentally bumped into someone.
