Cookie's P.O.V:
I felt the tears of shame come over me. The air felt stale and it was too quiet, I felt like I was gonna lose my mind if someone doesn't say anything.
"Cook... I'm sorry. I should've been there for you.." I can hear the guilt in his voice.
"Then why did you leave?" I grew tired of not knowing.
He shot this death stare at me "to protect you"
I instantly grew mad
"To protect me? What the fuck is that! The love of my life left me when I was 3 weeks pregnant and the day I was going to tell him he leaves me? To protect me? You did a great fucking job at that, huh? Meanwhile the past 2 years I've been gettin pimped and my ass beat, and it took you a nigga to put his hands on me to notice!?" My face was hot and red the tears were no longer there.
Tommie P.O.V:
Did she say pregnant? That's all that's on my mind.. pregnant?
"You were... pregnant?" I said it in disbelief as I didn't hear her the first time.
"Well where's the baby?"
"Rashad had me abort it.. he didn't know I was pregnant then once I started showing that's when everything changed.."
I grew mad, this muthafucka had my baby killed?
"So you fucken listened to him?" I yelled
"What the fuck else was I suppose to do! Run back to you? You didn't love me anymore, remember? You didn't call me, nothing. I had to take care of MYSELF , so fuck you!" She started crying hysterically.
I pulled her in by her waist and held her in my arms.
"I'm so sorry baby girl... I never stopped loving you, I'm here now, you don't ever have to worry, I love you" I kissed her forehead
Cookie's P.O.V:
I pulled out of his grip and wiped my eyes.
"Then why did you leave me?" I know he saw the despair in my eyes
"Huh... baby to protect you"
"Cut the bullshit Tommie, 3 years together? Protect me from what!" I was growing impatient
He dropped his head
"Me and Mike... we entered the drug business and we're well known, that's my job my place of business. I didn't want you to be affiliated with it again"
"You.. you asshole.. you fucking asshole!" I started hitting him and crying I couldn't control my rage
".. how could you! You knew! You knew! You knew my father left me and died in the streets! How could you do that to the one you love! Your family!"
I fell into the bed to try to calm myself I was so shaken up with anger.
Tommie's P.O.V:
I was lost for words, because I knew she was right. Cookie lost her father to the streets when was 14, and her mom to drugs at 2. She lived with her aunt who was a bitch until she came with me.
I went and sat next to her, I was hesitant but I decided to hold her anyways.
"Baby, I know I wasn't thinking, I'm sorry and I'll never do it again. I love you so much and I need you. I never stopped" I looked her in her eyes

"I promise"
