Chp. 29

Mike P.O.V:

All throughout my life i've had that one to help me grow, that one i'd die for, that one I can always turn to when I need someone to confide in. I knew this day would come, but not this fast. It wasn't supposed to happen like this, I was suppose to go before.. it wasn't suppose to go down like this.

*Flashback*

As Cookie drops the gun she runs to Tommie and he picks her up hugging her like one of those love scenes.

"I love you Tommie so much, I thought you were dead"

"You thought I was dead? I seen a picture of you thinkin' you were dead! I was spazzin' out, I love you Cookie and I never want you to leave me, okay?"

Tommie then gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring

"T-Tommie?"

"Listen first, I wanted to do this tomorrow, but today showed me tomorrow ain't promised to nobody. The thought of losing you gave me suicidal thoughts, I never want to go through life without you. I am nothing without you, you are my better half and I will love you forever and always. You hold the key to my heart. And I don't want to share it with nobody else but you, So Carmen Amari Thompson, will you marry me?"

Cookie was so shocked and shit so am I.. The shit he said was so beautiful, if she say no not only is she gon break Tommie heart but she gon break mine too.

"Yes! yes Tommie, yes!" She started choking up and the happy tears came out something I haven't seen a minute, I actually cracked a smile.

Once they stopped, I walked over to congratulate them.

"Congrats bro, I'm happy for you both." I turn to Cookie.

" But, after tonight thinkin' you were gone and the affect it had on my mans it made me feel sorrow and regret towards the way I treated you, and I hope somewhere in your heart you can forgive me. I disliked you, because I felt you were trying to take Tommie from me, but my mans is just growing up. I want us to start over Cook.." I opened up my arms as a welcomeing gesture and she hugged me.

"I'm sorry too Mike, I never wanted us on bad terms, but i'm glad we're here now" she smiled.

"Alright well imma start the car, yo crazy ass go get the gun" I laughed

She laughed and walked over to go get the gun, and I started heading for the car. I got to the passanger side when I heard a gunshot then 2 more gunshots following up.

I look up to see someone dressed in all black run away, and I turn around to see Cookie drenched in blood, and Tommie chocking on blood.

"Tommie!T-Tommie!" I quickly ran to him

"Tommie! Fight man keep yo eyes open! We gon take you the hospital!" I try to pick him up but he lifted his hand and gripped my wrist, telling me to stop.

He started shaking and his eyes are starting to roll to the back of his head and all in one second, he stopped.

"T-Tommie? Tommie man!" Tears started flowing out my eyes, and I gently lift my hand to his eyes and close them.

"I love you Tommie" I whisper.

I gently lay him down and make my way to Cookie whose eyes were still open and it made me cry even more.

"Damn Cook.."

I gently bend down to close her eyes and I notice her hand with with her ring on it was over her heart.

To me it was just God's way of saying it's their time to go, together. I'll never be the same, and i'll never find another. I don't know who caused this.. but i'll figure out, believe that.

I walk back to Tommie and I find in his pocket his wedding ring as well, and put it on his finger. I hold his hand for the last time, and say my prayer,

"May you be with me in my heart forever and always, I love you with all my life, and i'm gonna make this right for you and Cookie. Rest in peace Tommie, we'll be together again some day.. until the end of time."
