The day of wedding
I've always dreamed about having a grand wedding. Like looking for dresses for bride's maid and maid of honor. Fitting white gowns, wearing veil. Picking beautiful and bright flowers for flower girls and ring bearer.
And when I enter? A soft music will play, while my father hold my hand and walk me down the isle, so he could give my hand to the groom.
And there at the altar we would exchange vows, vows of how much we love each other and for the final scene and awaited part of the ceremony, someone will announce that we are husband and wife.
And there he will say "you may now kiss the bride."
I thought I could give myself that kind of wedding, I thought wrong.
Right now I wore a black dress to let them know that I'm in despair, it reached my knees, pairing it with a black heels.
I won't be confused if someone mistaken this as a funeral. Funeral for my dead feelings hahaha. I could still joke.
I walk on the dark and gloomy corridor, my heels clicking with every step I make. Going down the stairs savoring every moment of being a bachelorette, before I call myself Ms. Sakamaki.
I carefully touch the doorknob as if it was on fire, and gently turn it, entering the room and there I met Shu, wearing a black tuxedo. I think I just wear the right outfit. There are witnesses for our so-called-wedding, my mother and father on the right side. And on the left side there are the Sakamaki brothers and Shu's parents.
And who said there would be a priest? There would be a lawyer. Holding our contract of marriage. I stopped when I finally reached my destination.
The lawyer gave our pens, I expected it to be black but surprisingly it's white, maybe he said at least there's the pen that's pure.
"You may now sign it. After that we will prick your finger and drip a blood on it, and that will finish the ceremony."
I'm about to sign it but I stopped. They all looked at me. My mother was surprised and mad looking at me in the eye saying "don't you dare."
I know mother. "I have a request." I said out loud. "And that is?" the lawyer asked.
"Can someone play a music? Like it's a damn funeral."
"I'll play!" someone exclaimed, I look behind and saw Laito raising his hand. And I smiled at him, he happily approach the piano and started playing.
The music fits the mood. I waited for Shu to sign and press his finger for some blood on the paper.
And then it's my turn, I sign it and prick my finger, press it on the paper.
And it was like Laito intentionally ended the piece when I remove my finger. I'll thank him for that.
"And now I announce you husband and wife."
No one clapped their hands, they just walk away and live their lives. Leaving me and Shu alone in the room.
"Sex?" I asked. "No." he stated.
"Okay. See you around then." I said and left him. We still have school to attend. I don't want to waste my time with an asshole like him.
