Take a Chill Pill

Monday night came around, and it was the first time in weeks that Noel and I could have an actual girl’s day. Lately we’ve both been busy with filming, and she’s been busy with Jeff, and I’ve been busy with Ed. Just- We’ve both been busy.

We used to spend every weekend together. Just the two of us. We’d gossip and watch movies and eat junk. There’d be a mass of pillows and blankets on the floor for us to sleep on. We’d wear t-shirts and boxer shorts with our hair up in ponytails. It’d truly be the only time where nobody judged us.

I remember one of our girl’s nights consisted of Noel telling me that she slept with her costar on Raw, whom she happens to absolutely despise. I was absolutely shocked. She said it happened on one of the late nights of filming. Regardless of how trashy what she did was, I didn’t judge her. I mean, how could I? I had no clue what sex was like, or even the tension that the two held.

And that’s exactly why nobody should judge other people’s choices. We all live vastly different lives, meaning that our judgment is ignorant and unknowing. That’s actually one of the things Noel and I talked about during our Girl’s nights.

We talk about everything under the sun, but lately we haven’t been. It’s been making me rather upset. We’re supposed to be best friends, so what the fuck happened?

Our lives happened. We’ve been planning our day together for a week, and now it’s finally here. Judge me if you want, but I’ve been dressed in my pajamas since 5. I wasn’t supposed to look hot for anybody, so why attempt it?

Noel stumbled through the door at 8 in a hurry. Not even sparing me a glance, she ran back to her room. I didn’t think twice before following her. Her door was wide open, making it pretty easy to walk in and see her packing a bag.

“Uh,” I muttered, walking to her bed.

“Hey, Ice,” she managed to rush out before resuming her untimely packing.

I sincerely hope she isn’t planning on bailing on girl’s night. “Going on a vacation?”

“Yea,” she nodded. “Jeff’s taking me to Sacramento for the night.”

“Oh?”

And that was that. She finished packing and rushed out the door, not even noticing that I had the living room dressed up. I couldn’t be angry at her, but then again, Why not?

Cleaning up the living room was more depressing than I thought it would’ve been. I mean, can’t she cancel with Jeff for a night? They aren’t even dating for Christ’s sake!

I cleaned up nevertheless, and decided that if Noel could cancel and have plans, so could I. I called up a buddy and made plans to go see him. In my t-shirt and boxer shorts, I called a taxi and made my way to his house.

Not even a full minute after I knocked on the door, Louis threw it open and pulled me into a hug. “Ice-T!”

Say what you want, but that nickname is still the most clever thing that I’ve ever heard. “Hey Lou.”

“Come in,” he insisted. “I’ve got movies and snacks.”

I laughed at him. This was his way of making up for Noel ditching on me. Upon following the boy into the living room, I noticed blankets and pillows thrown everywhere. “And you’re in a t-shirt and boxer shorts.”

“It’s girl’s night!”

Louis was true to his word. We’d spent all night watching movies and pigging out. At about 2 in the morning, Louis paused the movie and looked at me. “It’s time for gossip.”
