Your POV
Last nights dinner was amazing, we spent all night just joking and talking, then we drove to the Lake Shrine Temple and just sat and talked for hours, it was about one in the morning that I got in.
Once I eventually woke up, twenty minutes before I had to leave for work, I stumbled downstairs.
"Mom, can Ethan come for dinner tonight?" I ask, feeling strangely bad, not knowing what her reaction will be.
"Of course honey, I'd love to have a proper talk with your boyfriend." She says, then gives a little laugh.
"Mom! He's not my boyfriend." I snap back, grabbing my work clothes from the sofa.
"Boyfriend? What's this, I said no dating until you're eighteen, you still have a few months to go." My dad says jokingly.
"Nothing, nobody, I don't have a boyfriend." I say rushing back upstairs to get changed and sort myself out.
Once I've managed to tame my hair and make my face look presentable I text Ethan.
(Bold is you, italics is Ethan)
Heyyy
Hey pretty
You can come to my house for dinner
Oh god okay
It'll be fine, come over for 6 yeah?
Yeah okay, uhh, I'll se if Mark can give me a ride
Oh, I'll come get you if you want?
Nah, it's okay
Okay, well I gtg to work
Wait, where is it again?
The coffee shop near school, byeee
byeee
And then I got in the car.
"Leave your phone in the car when you get to work." Says my mom in the drivers seat.
"But whyyyy." I whine, I mean, I wouldn't mind if work wasn't so slow, but boy it is.
"Because, you never spend time away from your phone."
"Well, when we go back to (Y/H/T) I'm never going to be off it, I have too many friends now." I say, hinting I don't want to leave.
"Well, you'll get your phone taken off you then."
"Mom, I have no friends back home, here in LA I have nine whole friends."
"Well, since we're going for four months-"
"Wait what?! You told me two."
"Four honey, anyway, I'm sure you can make friends while you're there in that length of time."
"Thanks mom." I say very bluntly, these next two weeks are going to be horrible, I already can't wait until I'm home after our trip.
"What for honey?" She knows damn well what for.
"For making me upset, I don't want to leave LA in the first place, never mind for four damn months, all these amazing new friends I've made and wow, I almost had myself a boyfriend, but no, you had to ruin that by taking me away for four freaking months." I say, very angrily, I get out of the car and slam the door before walking into work, making sure my phone is in my hand. I kind of feel bad but at the same time, four months away from the people who have made my life so much better is going to suck ass.

FanficI didn't care that it was now three in the morning, or that I was half an hour away from home, or that once I got back to LA I had finals, none of that mattered, I was just there in the moment with him.
