I woke up in the morning, the light blinding my eyes and I made a small screech as I fell to the ground. Rubbing my aching head I looked around, finding myself in my condo. Then vaguely remembered last night. Had a drinking competition, drank too much, passed out on the couch. I looked around to see that Katie and Laina were huddled together in the corner of the couch, Tony was sleeping in a mass of blankets on the floor by the kitchen, and Jaclyn was up already, making breakfast in the kitchen. I rubbed my temples as I got up from the floor, looking to see a red fuzzy blanket where I was sleeping.

"What happened?" I wondered out loud. Jaclyn flipped two more pancakes and then put them on a plate full of at least 6 others, a bowl of batter was sitting next to the stove.

"Well after Tony won the drinking competition, you guys turned on some foreign horror movie and screamed for a good hour before falling asleep. Oh, and Tony was so scared he slept on the floor. After you guys fell asleep I rummaged the place for blankets and made sure everyone was good till morning and then slept in one of the three master bedrooms. And now I am making the emergency pancake mix I bring with me when you guys party too hard." She then poured out three more pancakes into the pan and handed me a cup with water and an aspirin.

"You're the best Jackie." I gave her a warm smile, a quick hug, and then sat at the bar table while sipping my hangover remedy.

One by one the rest of the crew woke up, we all got out plates and ate pancakes. Laina was putting a little too much syrup on hers.

"Ew, Tony is putting ketchup on his pancakes again!" Katie said in disgust as she sat down at the table with us, a purple blanket still wrapped tightly around her shoulders.

"Why are you still surprised? I have been doing this for as long as you known me. We all have our preferences." Tony said simply, squirting the ketchup onto his plate of three. Laina finished her huge plate of basically goo and gave Katie a quick kiss before she went into the kitchen to rinse and put away her plate.

"I think all of you should thank Jackie for cooking for us. Without her, we would all be freezing and getting fat at McDonald's right now." I told everyone, and they all thanked as she joined us with her own plate of pancakes.

"What does everyone want to watch? The school still doesn't start up again for a couple of weeks." I asked everyone as we all shuffled our way into the living room, finding and claiming different areas of the couch.

"I don't know, my head is pounding too much to pay attention to anything," Katie whined, rubbing her temples.

"Ain't we all," Laina said falling to her side.

"How about some Parks and Rec, I need that soothing comedy to heal the damage of my drunken self. By the way, what happened to your wonderful makeup I did for you?" Tony asked me. I then realized I didn't take the time to take it off.

"I washed it off while you were screaming 'the door is moving', you were to focus on the horror movie to really notice." Jackie giggled as she turned the tv to Parks and Rec.

"Oh really..." I trailed off, thinking of how entertaining it must have been for Jackie, watching all of her drunk friends. For a little while, we watched tv and talked about our summer.

"So, Ambel, you still haven't said what you did over the summer," Katie commented. I took in a huge gulp and looked around to everyone. All eyes were on me as I whisked a piece of my hair behind my ear.

"It wasn't that interesting," I chuckled nervously.

"Then it won't be too hard telling us, now would it." I gave Tony a dirty look as he said this.
