Quinn POV

The crown sits high on my head as I hold my big dress up while I walk down the master staircase. But all of the sudden gunshots ring out. East wing collapses due to an explosion. The room feels like it's spinning as every angle of the destruction takes place.

I can hear the screams of my family and my whole pack. I tried to move my feet but the large dress was locked to the floor. I start crying and screaming for help. I pulled at my dress and gasped in as much air as could. Unfortunately the air had turned to smoke.

The heavy sounds of a horse knock me out of my daze. I look around frantically before I'm pulled from the ground and thrown onto the back of a stallion. A knight of the castle has pulled me from the rubble just in time as the roof falls where I was Just standing. I wrap my arm around his torso my tears making wet spots onto his cloak. Sparks run through my whole body.

"Oh mate, thank you ever so. You've saved my life." I tell him as soon as we are out of harms raging fury. I plant a kiss on his cheek. He lifts his helmet up revealing Grey.

"It is my duty. You are my only love. The only one I would ever turn good for." He holds me close in his arms and leans down and his lips meet my own. The kiss is sweet and passionate. Not once does it feel pressured or forced. This is the kiss that means something.

--
I open my eyes slowly. The room is a shade of yellow from the rising sun.

The familiar sparks from my dream make my whole body tense up.

I sit straight up and look to my left. Grey's soft snores are the only sound that fills the silence. I take this moment to really examine him. His skin is like a light mocha  color. His hair is at medium length pushed up. Freckles cover his face making him almost resemble Anthony Ramos.

But his jaw is sharp and his eye brows are thick but not to to thick. And those eyes that hidden from the world by his closed eye lids. Those pale green eyes that I've seen in my dreams since the day we met.

The perfect mate. Yet why can't I fall for him like all the stories say.

He starts to stir and his eyes slowly open. Revealing those beautiful eyes that I can't get out of my head.

I hope our pups have those eyes

Excuse me? Pups? You're jumping a little far a head, don't cha think.

It's bound to happen. Mate is alpha that means we are Luna. We must have pups to keep the pack running smoothly with its heir.

We'll see

We will not see because it's your futures.

I mentally roll my eyes at her and put my wall up.

"Good morning Grey." I try sounding as mono toned as possible.

"Uh, that's odd I thought you'd be mad I snuck in here while you were having a nightmare." He says and rubs his eyes. His morning voice is much much deeper than his normal voice.

"I think you and I need to talk." I say and turn so my legs hand off the side of the bed.

"I agree." He says and scoots next to me. "How about we go out to breakfast. That way neither one of us could do anything that we'd regret in the public eye."

"I think that's smart." I nod and run a hand through my probably messy hair.

"Okay I will come back for you within a hour and a half. After all it's Sunday. Most of the pack doesn't even get up until like 12. And it's like 7:30 so." He says yawning at the end.
