(Jane turned on the radio as Royals by Lorde (the Scott Bradlee edition) and listens to it as she makes food in the kitchen.)
(She finishes up and eats.)
(She thinks about how she'll never be a Royal with that luck. She'll always be remembered as one thing... Mutant...)
Jace's Point of View
(Jace turns off the radio after the evening check up and thinks about his child he left back in Pearl Harbor... he remembers when he had to leave her because he had to go. He knew he shouldn't have. He knew it was a mistake... he heard she found someone to be a father figure. He hears a noise and grabs his M4. He loads it and clings down to the lower level. He sees someone dash. He fires shots as they try to run around the deck and climb up the stairs but ends up being hit in the chest and falling off into the sea.)
(He hears Royals come on the radio. He thinks about how in this damn world, you can't be in the Point five percent... he thinks about the woman on the radio. He grabs his equipment and supplies and sets out to look at the docks... to find her...)
