Jane's Point of View

(Jane sets her diary down as she climbs out of the sub and peaks at the sunrise. she hears a voice right behind the rocks.)
Jane (whispering): ...shit...
???: Know we turn the--holy...
(Jane races down to the bottom of the sub, as the mysterious figure unslung his rifle, and sets foot on the docks.)
???: Show yourself...
(The figure slung his rifle, assumed to be an M4. He takes off his crow mask.)
???: My name is Jace... I work for Red Radio... I just want to know who you are... please.
(Jane puts on her gas mask. she walks out, an old Glock 17 in her hands, it's barely being held together by a little bit of tape.)
(He'd grab a combat knife and. a .44 Magnum out of his holster and yell out;)
Jace: I mean no harm! Please!
Jane: Okay... Im trusting you...
(they both walk out with their hands up. They shake hands as Jane thinks he's quite friendly.
Jane: Come in. I know who you are... follow me.

(AUTHOR'S NOTE: From here on out, the writing turns into paragraphs. Apologies.)

Jane climbs out of sub, and sits in the old beach chair. She watches and listens for the morning church bells coming from Southside, and there they are, 3 minutes behind. "Lovely, aren't they?" She asks. Jace nods and just does a simple 'Mhhmmm' and Jane sighs and rolls her eyes. He turns the radio on as he speaks into an old microphone "Good morning Southside! Not a lot of news today, I wish I could say I have news, however I don't. Possible news incoming at 1:30PM SST, Southside Standard Time, however it's really just rumors for now. I will attempt to confirm very soon." He finished and let in a big breath of air. They had several conversations, ranging from backstories to favorite alcohol. They both seem to have taken a liking to each other, and that's when she takes him down to see 'it'. The jar. "I have to show you something..." She said as she quickly looked around and said, "There's something I need to tell you, Jace. Some people, they're hunting me for the cure. They call me 'prey'. They don't know you're here. I need you too protect this at all costs... This is the cure for the RAD-4 virus... And if they get their hands on it, they'll charge everybody for it. Please, don't do what they doo. Don't join them..." She said. "I won't. Stay with me, Jane. Please... I... know you're a... you're one of them... you're selfless. Please, save yourself. Just from today, I can see that you're immune... your brain, it isn't like any other brain of a mut-- of one of them that I've seen. Don't leave me. First it's my niece, then my best friend. I can't lose you. Just by today, I can see that you are special, and I can't wait to see the people we stop. The people we save. We can change the world... Or at least make it less of a living hellhole." He said. She chuckled. "I hope. We can do some good things. I found the recipe on the abandoned ACPF sub, and just mad it my abode. Me, my 2 brothers, and my sister all took this over... But they died in a raid. Since then, I've killed everyone who has currently come down, except for you." She sighed. She smirked and nodded. "It's over though. Now I finally have someone else to share this with. I kind of hope you don't turn into a mutant like me... I really just kind of hope you don't go through the pain and suffering that I had to go through. Because... we aren't the prey anymore... we're the predators...
