| Hey everyone! I'm really sorry for the newest update taking so long to get up. My past two weeks have been crazy along with a bad case of writer's block. Thank you so much to everyone who is sticking around and for all the love & support! |

"God damn it!" Natalia's obnoxious growling wakes me from my nightmare filled sleep. I groan loudly in a mixture of annoyance and irritation. With blurry vision I comprehend Natalia grabbing her foot in pain. Ruelle is chuckling.
"It isn't funny." Natalia snaps. Her fury only ignites Ruelle's laughing.
"What time is it?" I groggily ask.
"Noon." My eyes burst wide open. Practically falling out of bed, I rush to throw a random of pile of clothes on. I comb through my tangled hair with my fingertips and lightly pat my cheeks to get some blood flowing. Ruelle raises an eyebrow at me.
My shoes are the last thing I shuffle on before I stumble out of the room.
As I burst out into the hallway several snickers and whistles from several of the wolves follow my direction. Rustling footsteps follow me as I bolt to the back door. Just as I think I've reached it Roman stands less than five feet away. His form is casually leaning against the wall with one leg bent and folded arms. Ironically he is blocking the door.
"Going somewhere, Princess?" A sly smirk forms. My eyes narrow.
"Not now, Roman."
"Why not?" He advances after stepping several feet closer to me. At that precise moment, two male wolves break out into an altercation. Roman quickly steps in to try and pull them apart.
I brush past him during the temporary distraction and slip outside. The warm sunshine hits my face. Orion is leaning against the wall in a pose similar to the way Roman was. His eyes light up when he sees me.
"You're late." I heavily roll my eyes at his obvious comment. We grab each other into a firm embrace. I lean into him and his masculine scent.
"I'm glad you're okay." He murmurs into my ears, causing shivers to snake their way down my spine. I breathe in every detail of him as if I will never get the chance to again. His hand creeps down my arm until it reaches my soft palms. He touches his hand to mine. The skin contact sends electricity down my nerves. With heavy eyelids I finally bring my eyes to his. Orion is intently observing our touching hands as if they are the most fascinating thing on the planet. We stand only a couple inches away; I can feel his deep breath on my face.
The door to the inn bursts open. Our bodies break contact as I spring away from Orion and jump into the glare emanating from Roman. His sword is already drawn as he aims it at Orion. Orion wastes no time pulling out one of his own.
"Who the hell is that?" Roman spits out as if the words taste bitter and disgusting. Both men look furious as they meet with hateful gazes.
"Orion. Back off, Roman." My voice steadily raises. Now is not the time to get into a pissing match, especially when the world is ending. A hurtful look crosses his face quickly before he masks it.
"Both of you, stand down. Orion has my family. Last time I checked the world is going to hell. I assume we need both of your heads attached to your bodies if we want to successfully save it." I bite. Orion and Roman reluctantly sheath their weapons. Mistrust is evident on both of their faces. I let out an exasperated sigh.
"I may stand down, but this isn't over. Light piece of trash." Orion growls. Roman's eyes flame with a passionate anger.
"Enough." I scold.
