Reid and Delta spend the rest of the afternoon together - by accident. The drive to the supermarket and dropping Delta off turned to much more.

"You know i could help you with your shopping list if you don't mind.  I'm not in any rush to go to Dairra's", she said to him then gulping down some water.

"Are you sure because the list isn't that long and  I think  I could work my way around the store, shouldn't be that hard," Reid's eyes was fixed on the road with his bored tone coming through.

She did not expect that response, at all. Without thinking twice about it, she told him that she was coming anyway and that he can't stop her. Reid shrugged not really caring about what she was interested in doing.  After what felt like forever with the short list which turned out to be a long one-  Reid did not notice there was more items to the back of the paper, they were out of the store 40mins after. Dumping the bags to the back a question popped up in Delta's mind.

"Hey um Reid?"

"Hm", those finger tips were going on that screen so fast.

"Okay I'll just wait"

"Wait for what? "

"Finish typing", Delta responding with a duhh tone.

Getting in the vehicle, he stopped.  Turning his head in her direction waiting on whatever it is she had to say to him.  Her head was faced on her side of the car facing out the window.

"Whenever you're ready Delta."

"Finally. So yeah um how did you know where the grocery store was?"

"On our way here my dad told me to take note of the important places we'll be needing to go. This was one of them. So I did it."

"Hm okay, you catch on quick."

"This is life, you always have to catch on quick."

She faced him with an  expression that read "the hell?" She decided to not go further with that conversation.
They were on the road once again. The paper she had due in probably the next 20 hours had not one word to be graded yet. She thought about what Dairra would say at the last minute.

I mean Dairra's cool and all but let me tell you, this girl has no time for games when school work comes around.  She's like this geek but not your typical geek with those big glasses and buries her head in books and her favorite place is the library or the science lab-no. She's this geek that gets all the cute and hot guys and parties but still has her grades up like  she wins every award for each subject the School has. Anyway I know I'm behind and she'll probably scream at me for being so forgetful and irresponsible, she'll help me, that's why I love my best friend.

Breaking her out of her thoughts was  Reid's voice.

"Huh", she said looking at his hand on the steering wheel that made her realise the car had stopped.

"I said where's your friend's house."

Delta thought about the question then decided something else. Its 2:26 pm. She still has some time to stay with Reid and get to know what went on with him before she goes to Dairra's.

"Before we go. Don't you wanna see more important places around here?"

"Uhh yeah sure I guess. Home's gonna be boring anyway. But don't you have that thingy for tomorrow?"

"No worries I have a lot of time left. The paper's not hard anyway."

They decided to view the various attractions in the small town of Trenya. They went to the art Museum, then to the amusement park and lastly Alma's Diner- that being because Delta had never spent more than four hours without her dear food.
