An: Hi! Thanks for everyone who has waited to read this book! I hope that you find it up to standards and that you enjoy the fluff fest I am planning on writing!
Also, if you could be advised, although I am aiming to write a fluff book, due to the nature of the actual book it will have a few graphic chapters before the boys find her and in flashbacks and such later in the story. This is why I have it placed under a mature rating.
Sorry that I didn't update on the first like I said I would, I didn't realise at the start of the year that that date was a part of my exam week... Don't worry, my exams are finished and hopefully I'll get into ATAR :) I'll probably let you guys know when I get my results ;) hehehe
Enjoy, and if you have any questions please don't be afraid to comment xx
I wake up to the windowless room I've existed in for the past I-don't-know-how-long. I think any connection to the outside would help ease the pain of living in this place; this hell.
Before I was kidnaped from my bedroom, my 'mother' would do a number of harsh punishments to me that I was unaware I deserved. I endured it though, she was sick and it was only her illness talking. I remember before that when she would comb my hair, take me out to parks and libraries. She even taught me to ride a bike before whatever this illness is caught her and manipulated her into this- into this beast.
Despite my disdain towards the way I was treated by my family, I would give everything just to be back in that situation. At least then I knew why it was happening! I'd broken one of the newly added rules my sick mother had created in her head- here I am unawares as to what I ever did to the mystery man in the mask.
Oh yeah, that's right! This masked guy is the one who is keeping me here. He always wears the same white mask. He's nameless and never speaks, the only reason I think he's male is his height and shoulders.
He never lets me bathe, see any type of light or eat more then half a meal at a time.
The door slams open and the man in question comes inside. He grabs my hair and yanks it forward, causing fresh pain to spark through my scalp. I make no noise, I know better now.
He pulls me closer to him, using his other hand to squeeze my throat. I close my eyes, hoping that this way he won't know when to stop to keep me alive.
Right as I can feel the grasps of unconsciousness reaching out to aid me into a dreamless state, he stops and throws me into a wall. I hear the slam of a door as I clutch at my throbbing throat.
I've stopped caring about such luxuries like if anyone can see my bruises. I can't see anything so it doesn't make much of a difference.
I guess before I go rethink another way to tell how long I've been in this tiny room, I should let you know which missing child I am.
Sang Sorenson, last I was aware I was fourteen with shoulder length hair and a size four shoe.
Meanwhile In The Real World
After finishing my last shift of the week I get into Victors car, immediately closing my eyes and leaning my head back. Victor was driving me to the Taylor's for a family meeting. I'd taken over Doctor Roberts shifts whenever possible since his team is currently working on a case which has gone cold but is possibly to do with an active serial killer.
I don't know many details, only remembering him from the news when I was about sixteen. Nobody could work out who he was, he always wore a white mask and was almost always caught on camera taking the girls. He took girls from all over the country, he has at least one from each state. All teenagers, but no connections as to how he chose them. That's why the case went cold, all girls from all different backgrounds, colourings, shapes and sizes.
So the academy stepped in a year ago when the kidnapper stopped getting recorded as often. Nobody knows if he is still committing his crimes anymore, but nobody ever found a body of the girl who he was recorded as kidnapping.
Just thinking about it makes me feel sick. I'm just glad it's Phil's team who are leading the investigation, they've got experience in dealing with a kidnapper and such.
"We're here Doc." Kota called from his position in the passenger seat. I let out a sigh, heaving my exhausted body out the door and into the house. I can tell I'm not being very healthy with my activities but what else can I do. Phil needs to spend as much time as he can completing this mission.
The meeting dragged by, we had recently completed our mission in Kota's local public high school, which was a total drag. I mean, I thought those kids would at least have some respect for a handsome doctor such as myself, but alas, none of them payed any attention to my Japanese wisdom.
To be honest with you all, I fell asleep half way through the meeting and am just assuming it was about our recently completed mission.
