Oliver Thredson parked his car in the parking lot of the Boston Library. He cut the engine, and quietly smoked his cigarette, not letting go of the building of the eyes. Small lights reflect inside, but it's quite late. He didn't think it would be open at this time.
Oliver looks at his watch. 9.30 pm. He had to find a book of psychology at all costs. He finished his session with his last client quite late and he hoped not to arrive after closing.
Tomorrow he will have to go to Briarcliff's asylum to assess the condition of Kit Walker, the killer called BloodyFace. How ironic. He will be able to charge a man for his own crimes. He almost had nothing to do, the man seems already completely mentally disturbed.
Oliver had never returned to this library since he had abducted and then killed Donna Burton. And he was surprised to see that they had already found someone to replace her. He gets out of his car and crushes his cigarette on the floor. He puts on his trench coat and then goes to the big steps that lead to the entrance. Once inside, he goes to the psychology bookshelves. Passing by the reception desk he didn't see anyone.
While he is in a row of shelves, he sees a young woman. She's putting books on a shelf. She is back to him, but he can see her face slightly. She has long red hair slightly wavy, which descend to her shoulders, she places a lock of hair behind her ear as she puts the last book.
She turns around, Oliver sees her face. An angelic, childish face. Her emerald green eyes suddenly land on him. She smiles timidly and moves towards him.
"Good evening, can I help you sir?" Oliver examines her carefully, her beautiful green eyes are plunged directly into his deep black eyes. She's much smaller than him, at least 25 centimeters. She wears a fine black turtleneck, and dark blue pants.
"I just needed a book, I found it." Oliver replies gently. The young woman gives him a shy smile and goes to the reception desk, Oliver behind her.
He puts the book on the counter and the young woman takes it. She looks at the cover of the book and smiles.
"Psychology, interesting." She said, looking at him.
"I'm a psychiatrist," Oliver replies with a smile. "Dr. Thredson."
"What a beautiful job, being listening to people..." she said, impressed. "My name is Hayden Collins."
"Are you new? I come here regularly and this is the first time I see you." He asks curiously.
"Oh yes, I've been working here for a week, I'm replacing the old bookseller who died a short time ago..." Hayden answers, sadly.
"Donna Burton, a victim of BloodyFace," Said Oliver. He looks at Hayden insistently. "I wouldn't want to be in front of him."
"Neither do I, I hope they'll catch that sick person quickly..." she said coldly.
Oliver said nothing. If she knew who's standing in front of her... He just smiles. Hayden puts his book in a plastic bag and she hands him, smiling shyly.
"Well, to the pleasure of seeing you again, Dr. Thredson," she said warmly.
"Very soon I think." He answers, nods and heads for the exit.
Oliver gets into his car. He didn't expect to find such a seductive woman. She seems a little younger than him. She doesn't look like a mother, but there's something about her that intrigues him. Sweet, fragile, innocent. And her clear eyes, slightly disturbed him. True, the moment when she called him sick irritated him slightly.
Oliver lights a cigarette before starting the engine. His thoughts turned to Hayden Collins.
