Hayden wakes up with a horrible headache. She stands up gently, lying on a large bed with brown sheets. She is in a large room, not very decorated. There isn't even a window. The two bedside lamps illuminate a little bit the room.

She lay down again, putting a hand on her forehead. How did she get there?

She remembers going to Oliver's home, quarreling with him, trying to forcibly retain her, and then the black hole.

While she has her head resting on a pillow, she smells a familiar smell. The smell after-shave and cologne. She's in Oliver's room?

Hayden suddenly gets up and gets out of bed. She feels a warm liquid running down her neck. She passes her fingers on it, then she looks. Blood.

She goes to the door, she tries to open it but it's closed. She insists pulling the handle, but nothing to do. She then gives a kick of anger in the door.

This bastard locked her up here.

Hayden decides to clap her hands on the door like a crazy, until he comes to open it.

"Let me out!" Her screams echo in the room. "You have no right to detain me here!"
A few minutes later she heard footsteps approaching the door. She moves slightly away, backing gently. A keystroke in the lock, and the door opens, Oliver enters the room and then closes the door behind him.

He slowly moves toward her, a smirk. Hayden backs off. He wears a white shirt, unbuttoned towards the collar, without a tie and black trousers.

Hayden notices that he isn't wearing his glasses and he is injured near the left eye. As if he had been cut.

"Well, I was afraid I'd hit too hard because you didn't wake up." He smiles mischievously, he has a glass of whiskey in his hand.

"You hit me?" Hayden touches her wound in the back of the skull, her eyes shocked.

"Indeed, but I didn't think it would leave traces." He approaches her and touches the blood flowing down her neck. "I'll take care of that."

Hayden doesn't move, always shocked. Oliver sits down on a chair in a corner of the room, sipping a whiskey.

"Don't look at me like that, sweetheart." He looks amazed, then smiles. "I couldn't let you go, you know that."

"Because you still have the nerve to call me sweeheart after you've hit me?" Hayden looks at him with disgust, her arms folded.

"You didn't leave me the choice." He glares at her. "You know in what state you put yourself once..."

"And there's something to put me in such a state." Hayden points a finger at him. "You and your lies."

"I don't lie to you, I wanted to surprise you." Oliver smiles and gets up.

"Why are you wounded in the face?" Hayden asked suspiciously.

Oliver touches his wound, looks at it elsewhere.

"It's this whore of Lana." He says that with hate. "She ran away."

"So I was right, you brought her here." Hayden is disgusted.

Oliver approaches her, but she backs off.

"Not for the reasons you believe." Oliver speaks in a calmer voice. "I thought I'd finally found a mother, she was perfect. She could have been our mom, we would have been a family..."

Hayden feels the tears run down her cheeks.

"I thought I was enough for you..." Hayden has a trembling voice, she didn't think so attained by his abandonment.

"But she fled... She left me again..." Oliver speaks as if his mind was elsewhere.

Hayden begins to cry, carrying a hand to her mouth.

"No, no, no sweetheart..." He rushes to her to take her face in his hands. "Don't cry, I don't want to hurt you, I tried, I really tried but I can't move on..."

"Even if I wanted to, I don't know if I can make you forget..." Hayden weeps in tears. "We need someone to help you, a specialist..."

"Honey, why do you think I became a psychiatrist?" Oliver starts laughing. "I wanted to understand why I was so different, why I was more touched than the others."

"You don't want to turn the page, that's all." Hayden dries her tears, her eyes still wet.

"Why didn't you turn the page on the men?" Oliver looks at her provocatively. "You see, that's what most affects you..."

"I was ready to turn it with you." Hayden doesn't understand. "And what do I have to do with it?"

Oliver gets up, hands in his pockets and he smiles at her.

"Your lack of trust in men started out because of your relationship with your ex-boyfriend." Oliver looks seriously at her. "He took you into drugs, alcohol and theft, you got pregnant and you wanted to stop all this crap, but he didn't think so, so you fought, he gave a blow in your stomach and you miscarried."

"How do you know that?" Hayden frowns.

"I inquired as a doctor." Oliver gives her a satisfied smile. "Everything is in the reports, I know you were followed after that."

Hayden doesn't answer, it's a very painful memory for her.

"And I know you didn't support, because of him, you lost your baby." Oliver continues. "And strangely, your ex was found dead at his place. Many say it's because of his drug trafficking, but I think... it's you."

"He had many enemies." Hayden doesn't look at Oliver. "You finished with your shrink analysis?"

"What I mean is that we both have been touched by a painful past, and you tried to put it aside, it will always come back to you." Oliver looks at her sadly.

"I know you could have been the person with whom I could have lived better with that." Hayden looks at Oliver with regret. "But I don't know if I'll be able to trust you again..."

Oliver approaches her and places his hands on her cheeks.

"Don't leave me, Hayden." His eyes are sincere. "I love you, you're the woman I always wanted."

"But I can never be the mother you've always dreamed of..." Hayden looks down.

"I don't care, it's you that I want." Oliver looks into her. "I made a terrible mistake."

Hayden doesn't know if she has to believe him or not. He has already terribly disappointed her in recent days. But she knows that she is terribly attached to him, even in love, and that she can do nothing about it.

He kisses her so tenderly, she tries to resist but she can't help but respond to his kiss.

"Stay with me, don't leave me, sweeheart." He has the forehead resting on hers, and he looks at her with gentle eyes. She never saw this look at him before.

They stay like that, entwined in each other's arms.
