In Love and War with Jessie J

(Chapter 9) Haunted

The next morning, I woke up to Jess towering over me with her phone in her hand saying "and this is Summer, my sleeping beauty." Then she flipped her phone round to face her and continued to say "so as you can see, all is well in Jessie J camp and we are having time out to be with my family. But I'll be back soon heartbeats. Thank you for all your support. Much love" and she blew kisses in to the camera.

It didn't take a genius to work out she was filming for something. But I couldn't figure out what. So as Jess put her phone down, I asked what she was doing.

"Just making a little video for my heartbeats, so they know I'm okay" she informed.

"Noooo! Not of me while I'm fast asleep and have no make up on."

"But you look so sweet while you're dreaming" she defended.

I still wasn't convinced. I managed to persuade Jess not to post the video online, under one condition... We make a video together later, when we've had breakfast and got ourselves ready a bit.

Jess was feeling a lot better today and wanted to try and impress me with her skills in the kitchen. She wanted me to think she made the best omelettes in the world, not her mum. She was able to prepare most of it herself, but I had to give her a hand when it came to whisking the eggs. Jess did try and do it all solitary, but it caused her too much discomfort.

As we sat down to eat them, they tasted incredible. But I didn't want to give her a big head and teased,

"You know these omelettes only turned out so good cos I beat the eggs"

"Oh shut up" Jess responded using her best Amy Child's impression and rolling her eyes at my childish behaviour.

We tucked in to our omelettes and freshly squeezed juice. And Jess said she's had an even better idea for tonight. She wants me to take her back to hers, so she can film a webchat live with her heartbeats. While she's housebound she said she wants to use her time wisely to connect with her fans again. She's been focused on gigs and promo work lately so has been rushed off her feet. But wants to get up close and personal with them while she has a lot of spare time on her hands. She loves getting to know her heartbeats and answering all the random questions they ask.

@Jessie J: Heartbeats... What are you lot doing tonight 7pm? I'm gonna host a live webchat and introduce you to #askJessieJ you can ask me anything! I'm so excited 😁

Of course her phone started going crazy once she posted that tweet. But she left it on the kitchen side, as we cleaned up the mess we'd made. I filled the sink with hot water and bubbles and made a start on the dishes. Jess wrapped her arms around me from behind, resting her head on my shoulder, watching me do all the work.

"You missed a bit" she teased.

I smirked and stated that she was so predictable and needs some new material. Something original. Then carried on as normal, I needed to get Jess when she least expected it. As she held me from behind, she whispered sweet nothings down my ear. I quickly gathered bubbles together and planted them on the tip of Jessie's nose. Running away as fast as I could but it was hard, she had a tight grip and wouldn't let go of my T-shirt. I couldn't get away. Jess flicked bubbles in my hair and all over my face. I may as well have eaten them. I was not impressed. I had to do one better. I flicked water all down her white T-shirt, causing her to squeal and eventually let go. As I ran away to safety she shouted "this is not fair. Pick on the cripple why don't you, knowing I can't chase you." And in a lame attempt she started to try and make the water reach me, taking cupfuls in her hands and launching it in my direction. It got no where near me of course. I ran frantically over to the sink and pulled the plug, but Jess was quick. She managed to get a good shot, straight in my face and I was as soaked as her. Once our silliness settled down, I walked over with the biggest grin on my face,
