You get the gist of things at this point. I can't even remember what the other newspapers said and I could barely read them through my teary eyes. But it's no wonder Stephen was trying to keep us inside. I'd be eaten alive if me and Jess were seen out in public together after these bullshit stories have broken out. I can't believe that I was being made out to be the bad guy in all of this.

Jess immediately jumped out of her seat, grabbed her crutches and came over to me. I held my head down in shame, weeping. Jess bowed her head down so she was level with me and rested her forehead against mine. She let one of her crutches drop to the floor so she could put her hand at the back of my head, looking intensely in to my eyes,

"Summer I promise I will clear this up. I'm going to call the press and tell them everything okay?'

"But now everyone is going to think I've hurt you Jess. I'd never do that to you", I sobbed.

"I know baby. And by the time I've finished with the press, the rest of the world will know that too. Don't worry your pretty head. I can fix this"

"But all of your family and friends are going to see this and form prejudgements about me that are all based on lies. First impressions are what stick with people Jess. And I'm sorry but people do believe what they read in the paper"

Jess now dropped her second crutch to the floor and cupped my face in both of her hands,

"My family and friends know me well enough to know that I would not tolerate someone treating me that way okay. Look at me Summer," so I looked up fearfully as she continued "I promise, pinky promise I will fix this and it will all be tomorrows fish and chip paper okay?" while wiping away my tears.

I could see Jess was struggling to stand up without her crutches so I carried her back to the breakfast bar stool. And Stephen and Rose came over to us, giving me hugs and comforting me with their kind words. I'm glad they liked me. Jess wanted to get on to her record label to sort it out straight away. She asked me to run and fetch her mobile from the living room. And I wasn't being nosey or anything, but it kept beeping and lighting up. I could see all of the notifications popping up on the front of her screen, it was going crazy. As I handed the phone to her, she could see for herself it wouldn't stop beeping, she quickly scrolled through some of the notifications and started crying as she read people were calling me a monster. Without thinking, she immediately took to twitter to rant.
