Chapter 12: The Forgotten Past

"You...."

"Killed her...yes. I don't know why I lost control." Oka walks up to you and hugs you.

"I'm just glad your alive (y/n)."

You oat Oka on the head and start walking again. Ayano and you drop Oka off at her house and wave goodbye. You begin walking to Ayano's house.

"...I want to go to your house, we need to talk."

You stop and look at her. You nod and start walking towards your house. You later arrive at your house and walk in with Ayano. You close the door and sit down on the couch with her. "So?"

"You lost control...as in you weren't in control of yourself?"

You nod.

"Does this have something to do with your parents or something?"

You open your mouth to speak but stay stuck on your words. "I....don't know...I don't remember everything that happened before the fire...it's all fuzzy for some reason..."

"Fire?"

"Yeah...my parents were killed in a house fired caused by..." You look up at her.

"You don't remember.....did you have an siblings?"

"...I think I had a sister but like I said it's all fuzzy...I don't know why." Ayano looks down and you look away from her.

"Yandere Dev created this world and then you had to come along..."

You look at Ayano with confusion.

"That's what Midori said..."

She looks at you with a serious face.

"What if there's more to this world than we know. Maybe...something is blocking your memory for a reason."

Your head starts hurting, you hold your head with your hands. Ayano looks at you with a bit of fear.

"(Y/n)?"

You vision becomes blurry and you pass out.

"(Y/n)...please wake up.... (y/n)!"

You hear voice over you, you can feel you're laying on the ground but it's soft like grass instead of your hard wood floor. You can't open your eyes or speak or even move. You can only listen and feel. You feel rain falling on your skin, you feel the light touch of someone putting their hands on you. You then feel someone kiss you and pull away, their tears drip on your face. You start to slowly open your eyes but the sun blurs your vision. You can see a outline of a girl leaning over you crying.

"A Kiss of Death can also bring Life."

You wake up on the couch and sit up quickly. Ayano is standing next to you.

"Oh my god!...you scared me (y/n)...are you okay? You passed out for no reason..."

You stay silent thinking about what just happened.

"(Y/n)?"

You're silent for a while. "...something happened..."

"What?"

"I had a...dream?....memory?....vision?...I'm not sure what it was but there was someone there...crying..." Ayano sits on the couch next to you.

"Did they say anything?"

"They were saying my name and telling me to wake up...and....and the end they said 'A Kiss of Death can also bring Life.'" Ayano looks confused but then she looks down.

"All of this has to mean something...anywho, you should change into something that isn't covered in blood."

You look at yourself and remember. You nod and walk upstairs to change. After you change you keep thinking about that weird dream or vision, what ever it was bothers you. You hear a knock on the door frame to your room, you look over to Ayano standing there leaning against the frame of the door.

"You sure take your time."

"It's been that long?...sorry Ayano. I've just been thinking." Ayano nods and walks over to you. She takes your hand and sits on the bed with you. She leans against you and doesn't let go of your hand. Her hand feels warm and calming to you, you don't want to let go and she probably thinks the same. Silence fills the room as you sit there with her. Time passes slowly.

"(Y/n)?"

"Yes Ayano?" She doesn't move.

"Did you really love me?"

You stay silent for a moment. "You said it wrong." She sits up and looks at you with confusion. "It's 'do you still love me?'...and the answer is yes. I still love you."

"...Even after knowing the truth?..."

You nod, she hugs you tightly with what seems like joy. "...but...don't yanderes have a senpai?...I'm not your senpai..."

"You are my senpai."

"...but..." She let's go and places one figure on your lips to keep you quiet. You gently grab her hand and pull it down to her lap, you place your other hand on her cheek and lean close. You gently touch her lips with yours and pull away afterwards. She blushes slightly.

"That was such a pathetic kiss...but it was cute of you to do that."

You feel a small blush creep into your face realizing what you did and what Ayano just said. She kisses you on the lips without warning. Your startled and almost fall backwards from her push. Without thinking you kiss back. Your phone rings ruining the moment, Ayano pulls away and you grab your phone. It's from a private number, you answer it but no voice comes through. "Hello?"

"..."

"Who is this?" A voice comes through.

"Come find me."

The call ends but Ayano says something that sends shivers down your spine.

"Yandere Dev. That was him."

You set your phone down and look down thinking. "We need to find him and we need to end this. If he controls this world...there has to be something to reset this place."

"Reset? But why?"

"If we can reset then we can make sure no one dies and we can fix everything without violence....maybe." Ayano nods. You lay backwards onto the bed and stare at the ceiling, Ayano soon lays back with you and holds your hand. There's much more to this world then you think. Now you have one chance to save this world from whoever this person is.
