Ch.2 ~ They Do That Sometimes

Kodi's POV:

Turns out word spreads really fast at our school. I was only in 3rd period and I already was hearing people talk about what happened with Zach this morning. Personally, I don't think it was even a big deal. I knew we were joking, he knew we were joking, but I don't think everyone else did since they were making such a big deal about it. I even got a very hard flick on the head from Emma. Zach just so happens to be in my 3rd period and I think he has heard the gossip too because he turned around in his seat and winked at me. I just gave him a small smile and rolled my eyes. I jumped from the sudden jolt of vibration in my back pocket. I pulled out my phone to see I had a text from an unknown number.

Unknown:

People are talking about us

I think I had a feeling who the unknown number was. I looked up towards Zach to see him already looking at me. I motioned to my phone and he nodded.

Me:

Ik and how did u get my #

I went to my contacts and saved his name as Zach.

Zach:

Your bubbly friend with the blonde hair green eyes

Emma! How dare she give out my private info without my permission.

Me:

I'm gonna kill her

Zach:

Not if she kills u first u should have seen how mad she was

for what had happened this morning

Me:

Yeah idk if u noticed but she's obsessed with u

Zach:

Yeah I did and for some reason, you're not

Me:

No need in inflated ur already over inflated ego

Zach:

YOU wound me

The bell rings signaling class being over. I gathered all my belongings and tossed them in my bag. I piled out of the room like everyone else and headed towards Emma's locker. When I got there she was already waiting for me with Scarlet by her side.

"Why would you give out my number to a stranger?" I said crossing my arms. She rolled her eyes and copied my actions.

"Last time I checked he wasn't a stranger, especially if he lets you call him Zach." I huffed.

"Why is that such a big deal to everybody, it's just a fucking nickname?!?!" She sighed.

"I don't know but it's really serious for him, I heard its something personal." I nodded and sighed.

"Okay well, I'm going to head to class now." She smiled and pulled me into a hug.

"By the way, he asked for your number and your address. It's payback for saying he's not hot." I pulled away and rolled my eyes there was no point in arguing. If I get killed in my sleep by him it's her fault.

I was in my last class and there were only 6 minutes left and it didn't seem like the teacher was going to finish the lesson anytime soon. He was probably going to hold us at least 5 minutes after to bell. I raised my hand as I closed my notebook.

"Yes, Mrs. Oliver?" He asked in his monotone voice.

"May I go to the restroom sir, it's an emergency?" I asked faking urgency in my voice.

"I suppose, you mind as well take your belongings the bell going to ring soon." I packed up all of my stuff and power walked out of the classroom. As I was turning to the corner I ran into someone and fell on top of them, and of course, it was Zach. He had the biggest smirk on his face. It was then I realized how suggestive the position we were in was. My legs were on the sides of his waist, his hands were on my hips, and my hands were on his chest. I wasn't helping that I was wearing a crop top either. His hands were warm against my cold stomach. My face heated up and I probably looked like a cherry.

"Hi, Zach." I said my breath shallow. He no longer had that huge smirk on his face in its place was a serious expression. He licked his lips that my eyes quickly glanced to.

"Hey, Kodi." He started to lean closer to my face. I felt myself unconsciously leaning closer. I felt like there was a pull towards him that I wasn't fighting. Our noses were touching now. I looked into his eyes to see that they were a bright yellow. I jumped back in surprise. I fell onto to my back and quickly scrambled to my feet. I felt my blush creeping up my cheeks to my ears. Zach was on his feet in a second. I adjusted my bag on my shoulder. I met Zach's eyes and they were back to their bright blue color.

"Um... your eyes.." I said shakily. He raised an eyebrow.

"My..eyes?" He seemed confused as much as me.

"They were yellow.." His eyes widened in recognition... he knew what I was talking about.

"Uhh... yeah they do that sometimes." It was my turn to raise an eyebrow.

"Sometimes?" He nodded and gulped.

"Like when I'm..." I noticed his cheeks were tinted pink. He was... bushing!

"Your..." I rushed him.

"Aroused...." My eyes widened and flickered to his... pelvic area. I noticed he had kind of a BIG problem.

"Oh...OH MY GOD!" Now were both blushing madly. My eyes flickered to his problem again. For some reason, I had the urge to laugh. I slapped a hand over my mouth as a chuckle started in the back of my throat. Now I couldn't stop myself from laughing. He looked at me like I was mad. I probably am.

"This is not funny now I have to go home and take a long, cold shower." He whined while I was still laughing like a mad woman. I walked over to him and patted his shoulder.

"Well that's not my problem now is it?" I said through my laughs. I walked away towards the front of the school just as the bell rang. Wow, the bell is really in my favor today.
