The Sky is clear today, as clear as it can be. Not too hot nor too cold, the weather is fine. In addition to that, The birds chirped happily. The passing breeze just make it perfect.
yet despite it all, That one Sawada Tsunayoshi is staring longingly at the sky through the window.
The seat behind him is empty. And he can't help the growing concern from eating him alive.
He sighed, 'Ie-kun...'
The younger didn't come to the school again today, and it has been four day ever since. Nezu has announced that he's sick, and of all people— well, aside from Caelum, that is— he knows the best how the gloved boy is.
But really, Tsuna just can't stop worrying. Not after what his counterpart had told him at the last visit.

"well then... everything begins from that day..." Ietsuna chuckled bitterly as he started.
"All my life I've always been a tool" he took a deep breath before continuing
"My memory can only reach out from when I was 6 years old and above, but Caelum had told me that I was sold when I was nothing but 2 days old, as a newborn of course I can do nothing. In my early age, I did remember a couple who take a good care of me, although at my back they're talking in languages that I can't recognize. I was only 4 years old when I caught them doing so, therefore I don't say a damn word" he shrugs.
"having faith on these so called care keeper is the only thing I could do. I even thought of them as my parents. At my fifth birthday— again, I was told by Caelum, I don't really have firm memory of this part of my life, anyway—the couple took me to this place, where I then spend seven years of my life, living in that hellhole..." Ietsuna tensed up to which Tsuna was about to stopped him from going further, seeing his discomfort. Yet the younger flashed a forced smile, as he insisted that he's fine.
"Jumbled, I couldn't really remember much, but I know that things weren't pretty on my part" He sucks in a deep breath, "I got experimented. My everyday had always been pain, needles, liquids, sewer. I... actually forget that I ever known of how to be treated as a decent human being." He gulped, thinking back on his younger self.
"pain, blood, red, black, sharp smell... I could never forget about any of those.." Pairs of identical orbs locked at each other. One brimming with tears while the other held a weariness of a retired soldier.
"One day, however, they made a tiny miscalculation on my power. But that's enough for me to fight back, I guess? I killed them..." a chuckle escaped his lips, there's no remorse, but Tsuna understands. The story is not as far fetched as his own mist guardian's.
"I was furious, I was in pain, I became a monster..." The younger stared a his palm before then clenching it.
"I run away with my messed up mind, I think I killed some random strangers on my way. I don't quite remember" He chuckled sadly as he unclench his hand. "Now that... I can't shook the guilt"
Tsuna's hand moved by itself, he grabbed the cold ones while eyeing the owner with worry.
Ietsuna smiled again, more sincere this time, "I'm fine..." he replied, but the sky never let go of his grip.
The younger brunet sighed, but continuing anyway "When I make my escape I catch a file with my photo with it. I brought it along despite not knowing how to read or write. Like, at all"
"I keeps on running without knowing where to go or what to do. Exhausted and injured I collapsed on a park in the middle of the night, that is when I met Caelum. I guess he took pity of me and decided to take me back to Japan with him. I was 11 by then."
"once I regain my consciousness I was utterly confused, I mean I used to see black whenever I open my eyes, but then I saw white. without me knowing I was at a hospital. Caelum brought me there." There's a smile on his lips, Tsuna could feel himself relaxing at the sight,
"Once the doctors left, Caelum said something that left me speechless. He found out that I was one of Pazzo's lab rat" The soon to be Vongola Decimo flinched as Ietsuna showed him the mark on his hand.
It's permanent.
A sign that he's owned.
"this is the mark that they gave to all of their subjects. My... former friends called it devil mark, I couldn't agree more. Even though it formed a beautiful rose, we loathed it." he said in venom, before then taking some deep breaths. He's not done.
"Caelum then showed me the file that I brought with me. he swore that no one had read it yet, and I somehow trusted him. Then with my permission he read it for me, Like I said, I was never taught how to read and I'm curious."
"It says..." He gulped, trailing a bit, "—that I wasn't sold by my parents, I was forcefully taken away from them, in short I got kidnapped. Antonio was my father's name. Once I could read, I confirmed myself that it was what's written there."
"But that's... That's not what crushing my hope."
"Ie-kun..." Tsuna used his flames again to calm the boy before he could have a panic attack or something. The younger thanked him for that.
"Yeah, anyway... the file also mentioned that that I might never live a normal ever again. because apparently I'm a successful experiment..."
"Caelum told me that every human being has flames to support them alive, yet those lunatics took it away from me, somehow without killing me. So now, instead of flames, I have to dealt with Ice that only I know what type it is... Or I thought so until I meet you" He chuckled in tint of humor, to which Tsuna returned the gesture with a slight smile of his own.
"That motherfucker is a jerk on his own way, and I can't stand his teasing, however..." his voice turned soft, "He always come to my aid these past three years I stayed with him. He took care of me, he showed me affection, he helped me with my studies, he gave me everything that I lack off. he even lost his ability to walk in order to save me from a car crash..."
"He has always been my hero..." His words slurred as Tsuna saw how his eyes drooping.
'So exhaustion finally hits him, huh?' The older mused a bit. Well, pretty sure his flame also take a part. But anyway...
Ietsuna flashed a warm smile as he stared softly at his look alike, "but now... I think I have another hero to depends on... Yoshi...-kun..." with that, the teen finally falls asleep.
Tsuna chuckled, but it cracked and rusty.
He's on verge of crying already. But trying to be strong, he simply get the blanket to cover his look alike, ruffling his hair gently before slowly letting go of the scarred hand.
The sky smiled fondly at the soundly asleep boy. He then cupped his forehead as he whispered. "well then Ie-kun, your hero will leave for a while. but don't worry I'll be back later and also your secret's safe with me... now rest well, my orange rose..."
With that, Tsuna left the room, he missed the smile that graze Ietsuna's lips at the last second...
