Chapter 5

"This year we'll be having a maze to decide the places! Kaboo!" The pumpkin yelled. A huge stone maze appeared in the air. "We have almost 500 guilds participating but only 8 can continue!" Everyone nodded and waited. "The only rule is that if you split up you must find each other before you reach me. Now, let the race begin! Kaboo!" With one fling of his arm a flight of stairs appeared. The five sprinted up them and entered the huge maze. The minute they entered they ran into Lamia Scale. "Seems our battle will come quicker than expected." Lyon smirked at them. "Seems so." Lucy said and pulled out a key. "And I'm gonna win. You four go ahead! I'll have one of my spirits take me to you." Lucy told her confused teammates. "You go ahead! I'll find you." Lyon reassured his team. "Okay good luck Lyon/Lucy." The others said and ran away. "Open gate of the lion! Leo!" With one wave Loke stood next to Lucy. "Need help, Princess~" Loke cooed and Lucy blushed. "Yeah, yeah. Star dress form: Aquarius!" Lucy transformed into her star dress and got into a fighting stance. "Well then. This should be fun." Lyon grinned and got ready. "Let's fight!"

~With Fairy tail team~

"I feel bad. We just left Lucy-san alone with Lyon." Wendy said and Erza nodded. "Aw calm down, Luce can always defeat someone who's in her way. Especially nowadays." Natsu said with his playful smirk. "I guess you're right." Wendy said with an unsure look. "This maze is a lot bigger than it looks." Gray said looking around. Then a hologram of the pumpkin showed up. "Time for a gravity change." The pumpkin laughed then the gravity changed, making everyone turn upside down. Everyone screamed. Lucy and Lyon flipped over but didn't stop fighting. Gray and Natsu landed on each other and squirmed off of each other. "Libra gravity change!" They heard a girl yell. Then Fairy tail, Lucy, and Loke all flipped back to normal. "What the?" Natsu looked around and saw two boys running towards them. "Sting! Rogue!" Natsu yelled with a smile. "Yukino! Minerva!" Erza yelled at the two girls running towards them. "Erza-san!" Yukino waved. "I'm guessing that you're the on who fixed our little gravity problem." Gray grinned at the white haired girl.

"Yeah." Yukino smiled. Then there was a huge explosion. Everyone turned their heads towards the explosion and saw two figures running. When the smoke cleared they saw Loke and Lucy in her Aquarius star dress. "Lucy!" Yukino smiled even wider. "Yukino? Sting? Rogue? Minerva?" Lucy looked confused at the four. "Where's Rufus and Olga?" Lucy sent Loke back. "Rufus is fighting Jura." Sting answered. "Wait! Wait! Wait! You beat Lyon?!" Gray looked shocked. "Hell yeah I did!" Lucy said with her back arced. "We better hurry or else we'll be in a battle for second to last!" Erza yelled at everyone. They nodded and all ran away. "So, how'd it feel? Y'know, smashing Lyon into the ground." Natsu asked. "Felt pretty good actually. Aw the look on his face~ I ran right past him." Lucy said with a daydream face. Gray sweat dropped but laughed at her. They continued to run and ran into guilds like Quatro Cerberus, Blue Pegasus, and even Twilight Ogre. All of which they beat into the ground. "See ya, guild wreckers!" Wendy and Lucy yelled as they ran from the Twilight Ogre members they beat into the ground. "Okay! I can smell Natsu, Gray, and Erza."

Wendy led Lucy to their teammates who were waiting at the door. "Come on!" Erza waved her arms and the two ran with the others to the door where the pumpkin stood. "Congratulations, Fairy tail! Natsu Dragneel, Gray Fullbuster, Lucy Heartfilia, Wendy Marvell, and Erza Scarlet you've put Fairy tail in second place. Kaboo!" They cheered and high fived. "I bet Sabertooth took first." Lucy sighed and the others laughed. "Rest now, the games will start tomorrow. Kaboo!" They sighed and walked in the door and ended up in their room. "I'm gonna go to bed." Gray, Lucy, and Natsu waled out of the room. Erza and Wendy slipped into the beds.

~With Gray, Natsu, and Lucy~

Natsu, Gray, and Lucy tiredly walked down the hallway. "Here's our room." Lucy yawned and walked into the room. She left Gray and Natsu in awkward silence. "Well...this is weird." Gray said. "Very! Oh, very." Natsu nodded his head. "Look, I won't speak of it if you won't." Gray faced Natsu. 'O-okay. I mean, I was just falling for Mira's weird shipping wishes." Natsu and Gray laughed. "Well see you at breakfast." Gray waved and walked further down the hall. Natsu watched him turn the corner and blushed red. He fumbled to open the door and when he finally opened the door, Lucy was fast asleep on the bed. "Guess I can't talk about it now." Natsu sighed and sat down on the bed. He put his face in his hands and groaned. "Why do I fail. I failed with Lisanna, Lucy, and now Gray." Natsu fell back onto the bed and fell asleep.
