The next thing that happen was a total blurr, I loss my sight and consciousness after what happened. Again, I'm in the scenario lying on a hospital bed but this time, instead of Geoffrey beside me, it was Claude and he's not lying on a hospital bed too.

"Nurse! Nurse! Mom! Dad! He's awake!" After hearing that I dozed off again. I'm really tired, I feel so tired. I'll just..sleep again.

I opened my eyes again and this time it was Rebecca and Darren at my side, with some unfamiliar faces. And again, I heard the same scream, "Nurse! Nurse!" Instead of dozing off, I retain my eyes open to look at the people around me. Am I dead already? I looked at them, one by one. There's this middle-aged woman and there's a man beside him in his late twenties? I opened my mouth and failed to speak because there was a, what do you call this? An inhaler that is attached to a machine? Okay, I suck at medical terms and medical equipments. Rebecca, showed up to the door, rushed toward me and held my hand. I could heat the doctor saying, "Ma'am could you go to the side first, I need to check him." He said this, not in a rude tone but in a calm tone. Rebecca just nodded and let go of my hand. I had to reach my hand further to reach hers but I simply could not because the doctor is already doing his job.

After minutes of checking my vital signs or condition, I remembered that I was shot by Lamarte but I don't know exactly where. The doctor is still at my side and I pointed towards my mouth and he carefully removed the inhaler thingy. I politely smiled at him. I looked at Rebecca's direction and he signaled the nurses to leave the premises and he too left. Rebecca held my hand and started to cry. Did I forget something? Ohh, I should be mad at her but I just can't.

"I'm so sorry, Joseph..I'm so sorry..." I could hear Darren telling everybody to leave us alone in the room. I tried to look at him, he was walking with leg support since he was shot at his right leg.

I touched Rebecca's hair and she looked at me, still crying. I don't know how to start the conversation so I remained silent until she was done crying. Well, I think that would be impossible for her. I don't know, gad, I'm still a mean person after all of what have happened.

"Dear, stop crying..please, it's all done." She kept on crying. Then I let out a big sigh. I had enough of this.

"Please baby, could you just stop crying for a while? The important thing is that, I'm here with you alive and everybody's okay..." And remembered what happened to papito, A tear trickled at my left eye. Everything's okay now but without my dear papito. Rebecca sensed that I was already crying so she tried her best to remove my tears with her hand but of course she failed at that.

"You see, now you're the one who makes me cry!" I told her. She laughed at that and hugged me. That hug was the best and at the same time the worst because it really hurts. Without intending to, I let out a sigh of pain because of the shot.

After awhile, I started, "Can you tell me what happened after I strike him so many times on his neck and after he shot me?" She nodded and she stated the after I was shot at my chest, Geoffrey jumped at Lamarte and got the gun from him and he shot Lamarte in the head to end the madness. It was a shocking news to hear since I knew Geoffrey being such a kind and sweet person. I could not think that Geoffrey could do such thing but then he did. He killed Lamarte. After killing Lamarte, he kept on contacting Richard who was too late to enter the scene. Everybody was released from the handcuffs and Rebecca was freed from the bomb that was wrapped around her while I was all unconscious that time. Then I suddenly, I remembered the moment when Lamrte shot papito in the head. Rebecca felt that I shuddered for a moment, she held my hand tightly. I just noticed that a dextrose was attached at my hand, I felt so numb all this time that I just notice it just now, how stupid of me. Papito..wherever you are I hope you're in the good hands of God.
