Five- Kyson

There are three rules/traditions that come with joining the Reinforcement Pack. Though our pack is small it has long history. Nowadays- with our dwindling numbers- it's become almost like a ceremony to initiate and bond with a new member. Before you are accepted, you are tested by the three rules. One of them being your blood rank. In the world of the supernatural your blood rank is a way of measuring the power that your human side holds over your wolf. Everyone in the RP has incredibly powerful wolves, or in Caleb's case Huskie. The fact that we all have strong wolves means we have to have strong minds so our wolves don't consume us. A blood rank tells whether your mind can handle the power you hold. An example of testing that control is shifting a werewolf's emotional center.

Yesterday, Enigma had his blood rank tested by forcing him to repress his shift. Your emotional state is very important when controlling your shift, because the emotions mix with your blood and your wolf can smell if there's an imbalance. However, Enigma is a mystery when it comes to anything normal about werewolves. He didn't shift at all yesterday, and the only presence of his wolf came when his glowed red at his mentioning of his pack. Enigma, for whatever reason, has a blood ranking of three times stronger than an Alpha- and an Alpha is as high as the scale goes! (Colin thinks that the test was either not strong enough, or Enigma just doesn't have a wolf he needs to control.)

The second test is loyalty, because if you don't plan on staying why should we let you join. In Enigma's case, we'll have to test his ability to be by himself with each pack member. He's attached to me, but it's uncertain how he feels about any one else.

Third test is different in the RP than in other packs. Our pack looks out for the welfare of other supernatural creatures, but we also fight to save them and survive on a daily basis. So our third test is combat, endurance, and strength. I know for a fact that everyone is scared to know of Enigma's combat skills, because it could go one or two ways. One, he is too weak to do anything if his emotions aren't involved. Or two, he is too strong and ends up going out of control when his memories of being tortured kick in.

When all the tests are completed and the pack accepts the results, a new member may join. A ceremony takes place, a pack mark is given, and the pack link is opened. Everyone has to go through this process, with the exception of those born into the pack.

Enigma doesn't necessarily have to join our pack, but being a rogue is dangerous because predators see them as easy prey. It's not really bad to be a rogue, and most rogues are generally friendly, it's just not common for a werewolf to not have a pack. Everyone in RP, besides Colin and Maccon, were once rogues. We were taken in by Colin who taught us everything he knew about strengthening our minds and wolves in order to help people.

A knock on the bathroom door pauses my thoughts. I slide further into the warm water of the tub. "Eni?" I call out in question. I was pretty certain it was him, especially considering that Enigma was the only werewolf I knew that didn't give off a strong scent. In fact, I only started to notice he had a scent after carrying him around all the time.

"Can I come in?" His voice drifts through the door in a sad tone. I've only been in the tub a total of twelve minutes, but in the two weeks that have passed since Enigma was pulled from the cellar and into our Pack he's had some major attachment issues. Colin and Leena suspect that since I found him first and I'm the person he associates with safety and rescue, he's adopted me as his guardian. I can't say for sure if that dream about meeting Armageddon was real or not, but if Enigma really is nineteen years old then it's going to take a lot more than reassurance and comfort to heal him from what he's been through. If having one guardian or figure to look for is what he needs- I will gladly comply, but Colin said that it might not been a good thing to get attached to only one person.
