Chapter 17

3 MONTHS LATER

Today is Monday and prom is next week on Friday. Liam hasn't asked me and if he doesn't, I'm not going to go with him. I want to be asked to prom. So, just because he's my boyfriend, doesn't mean I am going to go. If he does ask me, the girls and I are going to get our dresses this weekend. All the boys in our gang have a date to prom and so do the girls. Except for Liam and I. I'm kind of upset that he hasn't asked me. Maybe he doesn't want to be with me anymore. I really don't know. Maybe hes getting board with me. But he always seems happy when he's with me. I wear the necklace he got me everyday and he wears his watch. So I'm not sure. Maybe he is waiting for the perfect time.

"Elizabeth!" Erika said. I looked at her and she laughed. "You weren't listening to me, were you?" We were walking together into school, but now we are just standing on the sidewalk leading to the doors.

"I'm sorry. I was just thinking."

"Is it because Liam hasn't asked you to prom yet?"

"Yes."

"Trust me, he probably will ask you today or tomorrow." she assured and I nodded. My phone vibrated and it was a text from Liam. "Is it from Liam?"

"Yeah." We both looked at it.

*Look up.* Erika and I both looked up and Liam was on the roof of the school. He waved at us and we waved back.

"He's going to ask you now." she said. "You guys are going to get in so much trouble if you're caught."

"Probably." I giggled. "Well, I have to go."

"Bye. See you later." I walked inside and went up the stairs to get to the roof. I've never been up here before. I opened the door and walked onto the roof. There were a bunch of flowers all around. Liam's arms were wrapped around me from behind. He had flowers in his hand and gave them to me. I turned around and faced him.

"Liz, will you be my date to prom?" he asked and I smiled.

"I'd love to." I said and he smiled. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into a hug.

"Follow me" he grabbed my hand and pulled me across the roof to the other side. There were 3 different tuxes with everything with it. He grabbed them. "Which one?" he asked.

"That one." I pointed to the black tux with a tie. The bell rang, meaning we only had 5 minutes to get to class. I grabbed Liam's hand. "Come on. We have to go." I said and we went back inside and to my locker.

"I'll see you later." he said and gave me a kiss. I nodded and he went to his locker. I grabbed my things and went to class.

"Did he ask you to prom?" Louis asked, as soon as I walked through the door.

"Yes he did."

"Erika said he was on the roof. Did you guys get caught?"

"No."

"Elizabeth Hunter and Liam Payne, please report to the office." the principles voice came through the P.A.

"Never mind, we were caught." I said and put my things on the desk. I walked out the door and walked to the office. I saw Liam and he looked at me.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get you in trouble." he said and I smiled.

"Liam, its fine." I assured. We walked into the office and the principle was sitting at his desk.

"Come on in." he said. "Sit down." he said. We sat in the chairs. "You guys aren't in trouble. I just want to know why you were on the roof."

"Well, I asked her to prom up there because I wanted to ask her in a place she's never been. I think the roof is a good place because of all the flowers."
