For this challenge, you need 2 Sims. Feel free to use more if you’d like a bigger challenge. You can create these yourself or download them from the Gallery, but they HAVE to have the hashtag #RandomChallenge. Be sure to upload your Sim and add the hashtag once you’re done. You can get some really interesting combinations here, and play with Traits and Aspirations and looks that you’ve never bothered with before, which is the aim of the game really; a boredom killer, as TS4 can become repetitive.
Rules:
NO CHEATS except for ‘money’ as below, or anything like ResetSim if you get stuck etc.
1. Your Sims must be random. You cannot change any of their features other than their clothes and makeup. No tattoos, unless they already have them, and no different hairstyles or colors. You can pick their sex and their age, but they must be generated using the dice button. They must always be Roommates, nothing more.
2. You must choose the first name the generator picks, however weird it is.
3. Next, aspirations and traits. Use the random generator found at

4. You may spend §4,000 on their house. Once you’ve spent that, take all their money away. (Open the cheat console, type in ‘testingcheats true’ followed by ‘money 0’, or whichever way you prefer to remove their money). No computers or TV’s are allowed, only books, easels, chess tables, gardening equipment (non-electrical equipment only). You can purchase these once your Sims have §20,000 between them. You may visit the Library etc. if you need to complete a computer related task for your job.
5. Turn on Full Autonomy in Game Options, and keep ‘Disable Autonomy for Selected Sim’ checked. You can control one Sim per 24 hours, and the other must be left to their own devices. You cannot play as the other Sim whilst controlling Sim 1 for the 24 hour period, say 6am-6pm, or whatever you choose.
6. You can pursue the career of your choosing, or based on your Sim’s Aspiration. See what happens whilst you’re controlling one, and hilarity ensues with the other. You may assist using your Sim, for instance if the other has set fire to him/herself, but you cannot switch to that Sim to put out the fire if it’s not their ‘day’ to be controlled.

Q. What’s the point of this Challenge?
A. To play Aspirations, Traits and Looks that you wouldn’t usually try, and to see what happens to another Active member of your Household when you cannot control them for 24 hours.
Q. Can I use cheats?
A. Only in order to remove your Household’s funds once you’ve built their house, and to reset your Sim etc. Cheats that increase your skills can be used, but lessen the challenge. MOO is fine, when building.
Q. Can I have the two or more members of my Household marry?
A. You must start off as Roommates, and you can flirt etc. but cannot control how the other Sim reacts until you’re controlling them.
