Mabagal na pumanik si Magee sa stairs papuntang third floor kung saan matatagpuan ang room ng Eyewitness Time, ang official school newspaper name ng university nila. At hindi niyo alam kung gaanong hirap ang sina-suffer ni Magee makapanik lang from groundfloor to third floor. Hello, nakakapagod na sa 'ting mga may normal feet condition. Eh paano pa si Magee na hindi normal ang pace maglakad?

Okay, I'm pretty sure you guys recognize that I'm talking alien here. Sige na nga, we're already in the chapter 3 of the story so I might as well tell you the main concern health state of Magee now. She got an accident when she was six years old. She got hit by a delivery truck but miraculously, she survived. Ayun nga lang, ang left foot niya ang napuruhan. It took her almost six months to recover and para maghilom totally ang bruises na tinamo niya. But her left foot still remained as it is. Naging suki siya ng Orthopedics during her entire childhood and teenage years. Hanggang ngayon actually. Due to great impact from the wheel, which causes a twist on her left ankle, she got Lisfranc injury. It damages the cartilage of her midfoot joints. It has resulted in a complete dislocation of her entire midfoot. Because no bones have been broken, the doctor recommended her to undergo fusion. Even the operation was successful, due to severe injury from a high-energy event, she experiences arthritis despite of her young age. This is the reason why she has a difficulty to walk straight and in slow pacing (one step at a time), and unable to jump or run.

Sobrang thankful ang family niya dahil nakayanan ng six-year-old Magee ang lahat ng operasyon na 'yon. Sabi nga ng grandparents niya, they are sure that she'll grow as a strong woman dahil ito ang katangiang pinakita ng batang Magee. That's why Magee gave her very best on the things she knew she'd excel with and kept on showing that she's not going to lose on her own battle. Kahit na madalas kinakain pa rin siya ng insecurities niya, her family's love and support is enough to console herself. Habang nagdadalaga, she kept reminding herself upon the person she have to become. Natatandaan niya pa noon, her parents always told her na in spite of her condition, wag siyang papayag na maliitin dahil kahit na limited ang abilities niya, she's one of a kind. She can do a thing that others cannot. Basta lagi lang siyang magtitiwala sa sarili niya, she would no doubt succeed.

Abot-abot ang paghinga niya when she reached the third floor. Ah finally! She composed herself from the thought and walk towards the room of Eyewitness Time. When she's in front of the door, she straightened her dress out, took a deep breath and opened the door. She was greeted by a good aroma of coffee (she's definitely sure na nandito na ang co-writers niya; coffee is their energy booster mind you guys), at habang kipkip ng mahigpit sa dibdib ang final draft ng article niya, she walked slowly towards the small room of their EIC.

Nakita niyang bukas ang pintuan kaya sumilip siya. "Good morning, ate Sam!"

Nilingon siya nito from her PC and with jolly tone, "Good morning din sayo, Magee! Aga natin ah."

"Uh... I need to pass the draft to you, remember? Deadline na nito ngayon," she said, finally entering the room. She handed her the papers.

"Ay shoot! Oo nga pala, buti pinaalala mo. Thank you!" pagkatapos ay inabot na nito ang article niya and started to scan it. She smiled on her."Wow, nice one! No doubt after graduation, ikaw na ang pipiliin ng team as the new EIC to replace me."

"Grabe naman sa EIC. Third year pa lang ako sa pasukan ate. Besides, Jim is more capable of doing the job. Mas fit ako as a writer na lang."

"It's your opinion. But for me ha, walang halong keme, I want you for the position more than anyone else in the team. I believe in your skills kasi," masaya nitong sabi.
