This sucks.

I looked at my brother lying down, defeated. He disappeared into golden dust, floating in mid air as he do so.

I watched him as he completely disappeared and I felt a weight removed from my chest, but it wasn't completely removed.

As your brother disappears, you disappear with him. This is your fate, Natsu.

Anna's voice rings inside my head. I looked down and clutched my chest where my heart resides.

I let out a shaky breathe. This wasn't what I wanted things to turn out.

I felt a tear escape and rolled down at the side of my face. I don't want to disappear, I don't want to leave my friends behind.

"Natsu!!" I heard a voice, I immediately looked up and my eyes locked with a beautiful human being with long blonde hair "Lucy..." I whispered.

I don't want to leave Lucy behind. There is still so much things I wanted to do with her, I wanted to make it up to her after leaving her for a year, all alone. I wanted to continue going to her apartment and scare the living shits out of her. There are so many things I wanted to do with her.

I watched her run towards me with tears streaming down her face, obviously from sheer happiness. She doesn't know I'm gonna leave. She doesn't know it yet.

"You did it!" She cheered as she jumped into my arms. I immediately wrapped my arms around her, rested my head at the crook of her neck and silently cried.

Not because of happiness, but because of sorrow.

"Yeah, I finally did it." I separated my head from her neck and looked straight at her face. Oh her beautiful face, I'll miss this girl.

I wiped her tears away "But I gotta go, Luce." As if on cue, my hand on her cheek started to become golden dusts.

Its time...

She looks at me with wide eyes and directed her attention to my now disappearing hand "What do you mean you have to go?"

"It's my fate, Luce. If Zeref goes, I go." I cried, using my other hand to cup her cheek.

"No, no, no, no. Natsu don't leave." She pleaded, her eyes filling up her tears.

I felt my heart break. "You promise you'll come back. You promised me!!" She shouted, holding unto my hand the cupped her cheek. She held my hand tight, not wanting to let go.

"I know, Luce... I'm sorry..." I cried, not knowing what to say. Yes, I promised her but fate is a cruel thing.

She cupped my cheek with her other hand as she held on tightly with my other hand "I love you, Natsu. I love you." She continues crying, her voice shaking as she let out these words.

"Luce, God knows how much I love you..." I closed my eyes, letting all my built up tears fall down. I pulled her towards me and brought my forehead onto hers, letting out a shaky breathe "God, I'll miss you so much"

Lucy released a cry "Natsu, don't leave me please. Don't leave us."

I can't feel my legs, literally. They have become golden dust.

I need to say everything now.

"Luce, being with you was the happiest I have been." I brushed my thumb on her cheek, wiping away her tears. "You have been my best friend and partner. You always support this silly Salamander antics, no matter how stupid."

I let out a little chuckle to lighten up the mood, but that made her cry even more "You have brought out the best in me, Luce." I can feel my chest tighten, Lord please help me...

"I will always treasure the days the we spent together." I cried "Dragging you to Fairy Tail was the best damn decision that I have ever made. So please, live on. Live your life in Fairy Tail with all of our nakamas, for my sake."

"Natsu" Lucy muttered "You are the best thing that happened to me, and not resisting when you dragged me away from the soldiers was also the best decision that I have made."

I choked out a sob "Cause Natsu, you also brought out the best in me."

I pressed my lips on hers and kissed her with so much passion, knowing this will be the last time I will ever have to touch her lips.

"I will never forget you, Luce." I parted away "So, don't ever forget me okay? Because I will never ever forget you." I removed my scarf and wrapped it around her.

Lucy nodded as she released a cry, sobbing uncontrollably. She hugged me tight, wrapping her arms around my neck.

I patted her back, rested my chin on her shoulders. I noticed my friends staring at us with their mouths ajar and eyes wide with tears at the corner of their eyes.

"Hey guys..." I felt myself tearing up "Natsu you idiot." Erza started, clenching her fist.

I can see Mira covering her mouth to cover her sobs. I can see Gray's tears rolling down his face. I can see Erza shaking uncontrollably as she bit the bottom of her lip. I can see Master standing perfectly still, he couldn't blink but tears rolled down the side of his face, he held onto his heart. He couldn't seem to say anything.

"Thank you for everything, Gramps!" As I released those words, he dropped on his knees "You stupid idiot son of mine!" He shouted, tears falling down the floor as he cried his hearts out.

"Natsu..." Happy started, his eyes wide, tears streaming down his face like waterfalls.

"Hey buddy... I'm sorry..." I sob "Thank you for everything, partner. Take care of yourself and live on okay?"

Happy started to shake, clenching his fist. He lifts up his head "Aye sir!! Thank you for being my dad, best friend and partner Natsu! I will never forget you as long as I live!!" He shouted, his voice cracking as he do so.

I felt my heart being squeezed. I sobbed uncontrollably, letting my tears fall.

God, I don't want to leave. I can't imagine not being with them in the future, I don't want to leave!!!!

I can feel my consciousness starting to fade away. Dammitt....

"Thank you so much for everything guys!" I mustered up a smile "Live on okay? I will always be with you."

I hear Lucy sobs as she tightened her hug, not wanting to let go. I let out a sob "Take care of Lucy, will ya?"

I'm not referring to a specific person to take care of her, I wish everyone would.

Everyone got my message and nodded as they cried.

I gave them one last smile "I love you, Luce. I'll always will..." I whispered, and with that my vision became black, and just like that, Salamander of Fairy Tail disappeared into golden dust in her lover's arms.
