Gale's POV:

My dad was sleeping. It was just Venetia and I. I think she is starting to warm up to me. She says she trusts me. But it seems like she hasn't trusted anybody for a while now.

Her face looks so innocent but her tongue an personality shows a warrior. I can tell shes been through way more than i have. Maybe that"s why shes so strong. I think that if she always showed what she thought, she will be more understood.

Its probably hard to always be one way because of her disorder. I feel so bad for her though. Its like she wants to be understood but if she lets that happen, something bad is going to happen.

I think that i triggered something though. It said on her rules not t' ask her questions about her past because it could make her angry. But what if it gives her relief. What if it makes her a better person. What if it cures her problems. I am take that risk. I just hope she can too.

"Gale,what are you doing? You are just staring in space?", Venetia asks me.

"Nothing...just thinking", I responded, turning to her.

"I have a box of chiz in my closet that makes a bunk bed...wanna help me build it?", Venetia asked agian.

"Like, right now?"'I tried to clarify its like 11:00

"Yeah...who cares", she laughed.

"Well, I guess we can", I smiled.

====

About 30 minutes later, we finished building the bed. We tried so hard not to make any noise with the metals.

Ven looked so focused. I laughed a little every time I looked up at her. She couldn't really do anything with that cast on her hand. She was getting frustrated. It was so cute!

"You still haven't unpacked yet. I could help you when you wake up tomorrow" I offered.

"Yeah, that's cool," She smiled

"I think it's time to go to sleep, Ven", I noticed.

"True, which bunk do you want?", she yawned.

"I was gonna let you pick first", I admitted.

"Okay then......I'll take the bottom", she spoke softly, slugging towards her bunk.

"Alright" I laughed, climbing up to my bunk.

Soon enough, I could tell that Venetia was sleeping. I didn't hear a sound coming from her.

====

Even though I was dead tired, I couldn't fall asleep. Something was keeping me up...but I don't know what it is.

I heard someone crying. It sounded soft and gentle.
