The Lonely Girl

She wants to be near someone
But not just anyone
Her friends try to help her
But she wont let them nearer

Her heart is alone inside her
She wants someone to be beside her
To comfort and adore her
Not to hurt or abuse her

She blockades her heart
So it won't be penetrated by a dart
She has been hurt too many times
All she can do is put it in rhymes

She doubts her feelings
With constant lyings
They tell her she is right
But that is why she is writing

They tell her he is good
To be with him if she could
Not to waste this chance
But she doesn't want to dance

She will probably stumble and fall
Then be left to crawl
That's not what she wants
She wants someone she can trust

She has someone in mind
Someone who is divine
But its probably not worth it
Because she doesn't think she deserves it

He could offer her a crown
But before she could accept it he'd throw it to the ground
She thinks she deserves to be alone
Not to be given a throne

She desires to be happy
To be swooned by someone sappy
Someone who isn't obscured
Who will keep her secured

Still though she wouldn't trust him
With the keys to her heart
The reason she will distrust him is
He most likely will throw the dart
