Connie was making dinner when she her loud sobs coming from Reilynns bedroom. Connie ran inside to see if she was ok. Reilynn had her face shoved in a pillow. Reilynn Connie said softly touching her shoulder. What's wrong baby she said as she lifted Reilynns face off the pillow. Mommy Reilynn said I don't want to be a gem. Why not darling said Connie confused. Connie was thinking about what her daughter had just said to her. Connie had always wanted to be a crystal gem ever since she was about 12 at least. Mommy I want to be normal I want to be human I don't want stupid useless powers I don't even know how to use. Connie was shocked Reilynn she said softly your daddy saved so many lives with the same powers you have. Really exclaimed Reilynn. Yes baby he did and so did Rose Quartz said Connie. Reilynn looked confused and replied Mommy my sister didn't save anyone. Connie giggled not your sister the original Rose Quartz she saved Garnet Amethyst Pearl and Bismuths lives well they didn't get corrupted. Wow mommy that's so cool She exclaimed.
But I still want to be human. Connie smiled well guess what your only 25% gem and 75% human. No said Reilynn your a gem and daddy's a gem. Silly Reilynn daddy's 1/2 human and I'm 100% human... well I was. Ohhh said The little 5 year old. I love you mommy she said. I love you too baby
I love the name Reilynn Claire it's so pretty. Reilynn is so misunderstood. I will not be doing a chapter all about Rose. I feel like this gave the story that little push of sadness it needed.
