The tragedy of Cassandra, for those who are curious, continues after the end of my retelling. She is brutally raped in the temple of Athena by Ajax the lesser, and becomes a concubine of King Agamemnon of Mycenae. While he is away fighting for Greece in the war, his wife has an affair, and upon the king's return his wife and her lover murder both Agamemnon and Cassandra. Thus is the heartbreaking end of our protagonist.
