I woke up at my usual time on a Saturday: noon. I rolled over towards my nightstand and picked up my phone and saw a text from Mom.

"Good morning sweetie! I'm visiting you at two today!"
Dammit! That's literally in two hours! I don't even want to see her!
"Ok."

Well, now my morning has gone to shit. My mother is visiting all the way from Pallet Town. She's gonna try and convince me to propose to Blue. She does this every time she comes over unexpectedly. She must have told her about how I acted around Green. Oh yeah, Green! I should probably send him a message.

I hopped out of bed and went to find my wallet. I put the receipt in it so I could have his number. I grabbed the receipt and unfolded it. I took out my phone and went to my contacts list, and I added his number in. After, I shredded it.

I went to his name and type him a message. I felt my heart beat grow faster, why am I so nervous? The worst that can happen is for him not to text me back. I mean, I don't even know him! But I'll still be crushed. Breathe Red, just say hello.

"Hey, this is Red, the guy from the restaurant."

Alright, this is fine. I need to calm the hell down. My hands were shaking literally the whole time. This stranger has really caused me a lot of anxiety. I sighed and went to my kitchen, I need coffee, or perhaps drugs to get me through Mom's visit.

As I was brewing the coffee, I heard my phone alert me that I received a message.

"Hey! How are you?"
Omg omg omg omg omg he replied!
"I'm alright, how about you?"
"I'm good? What's wrong with you?"
"Just some family issues I guess."
"That sucks a bunch."
"Um, why did you write down your number for me?"
"I thought you were cute <3." My face flushed when he said that.
"Oh, thank you."
"You looked very nervous lol."
"No I wasn't!" I totally was.
"Sure you weren't :). Oh, were you on a date?"
"Not really, I don't like that woman."
"Why were you with her?"
"She's part of the family problem. My mom really wants me to date her."
"Damn that sucks."
"I'm not attracted to her at all."
"What are you attracted to?"
"Well, guys."
"Me too :)."

I was interrupted with my conversation with a hot guy when I heard my doorbell rang. I looked at the time and saw that it was only one. The only person that should be at my door is Mom, well technically she isn't supposed to be, and it's not two yet! I rolled my eyes and got up to open the door.

"Red!" Mom said as she hugged me.
"Hey Mom."
"How are you?" She asked while setting her stuff down on my table.
"I've been better."
"What's wrong sweetie?" She asked with a frown. She knows damn well what's wrong.
"It's nothing to worry about."
"I talked to Blue this morning." She said as she sat down on the couch.
"Okay." I said in a monotone voice.
"She said you were acting weird around the waiter."
"Okay."
"You can't be getting all flustered around your girlfriend." She said. I can't believe this!
"She's not my girlfriend."
"Well you need to ask her soon, you're twenty seven for christs sake, you need to start a family!"
"I'm happy without her and a family."
"You're going to marry her since you have no interest in dating anyone."
"I do have interest in dating."
"The people that you date aren't right for you." She said while sipping her drink.
"Why's that?" I asked in an irritated voice. I hate when she visits.
"They just aren't."
"Is it because they're male?" I said a bit louder than usual.
"It is, you're just going through a phase."
"Then I guess I've been through this phase for thirteen years." I said sarcastically.
"You'll realize that you love Blue when you marry her."
"I'm not gonna marry her."
"Why wouldn't you?"
"Because I can't stand her!" I shouted. Mom's shoulders sank, she looked truly hurt by what I said. Did I go too far?
"You don't have a choice. You will be unhappy with a man." She said.
"I'm happier with men than women."
"Men will just disappoint you, they won't satisfy you." I can't take this anymore.
"I'm going to the bathroom." I said while standing up.

I can't believe that she would invite herself over, shit all over my feelings, and tell me that I am something I'm not! I can't believe the ignorance coming from her! This is why I like Dad more than her. He left her when I was twelve because "she's a bitch."
I don't blame him honestly. I didn't come out to her until I was eighteen and out of her house. I told Dad when I was thirteen because I knew he wouldn't care. My Dad has good morals, he totally supports me. He told me when I was sixteen that he just wants people to be happy since there's so much negativity in the world. I miss him, he moved to Kalos for his job and I only get to see him once a year, I visit him for his birthday. When I told Mom that I was gay, she completely ignored it and treated my boyfriend at the time as a friend of mine from high school. The next day, she scolded me for liking him!

I exited the bathroom and marched back to my mother.

"What took you so long?" She asked while lighting a cigarette. She was now standing in my kitchen.
"I'd prefer that you didn't smoke in my house." I said, trying not to yell.
"It's just a little smoke, it won't hurt anything." She rudely said while puffing out some smoke.
"It's the smell that I don't like."
"Quit being a pussy."
"You know what, leave my house. You weren't even invited here in the first place." I said with a scowl.
"I don't have to be invited here, I'm your mother." She replied.
"Please leave before things get ugly."
"Alright Red, I'll see you soon." She said while grabbing her stuff.
"Mhm."

Mom left and I felt a little bit better. She's already fucked up my day, I can't stand her most of the time. I went back into the kitchen to check my phone to see if Green had texted me. I need to apologize for not replying.

I picked up my phone and saw that I didn't receive a message from him, perhaps he's at work. I went to see the messages, but couldn't find them. Did I accidentally delete them? I went to my contacts list to see that his number wasn't in there at all. My heart sank when I realized it.

"God dammit!" I shouted as a banged my fits in the table.
My horrible mother deleted his contact!
