Dinner with Her

We made happy memories together, She's really a great person. We tried most of the rides, like the frisbee and the pirate ship.

I really had a great time. I tried to win her a huge teddy bear on those booths, I failed but she cheered me up.

Now we're in my car, I'm still sulking on the teddy bear.

"Aaron, It's okay. Besides, I really had a great time with you" She smiled, I like her smile.

"Alright...Do you want to eat? I know a great diner here" I asked her, We only ate snacks in the amusement park and we didn't have lunch.

"Sure"

I drove our way to the diner, We talked on the way there. We got to know each other more. I found out that she's from a broken family but her dad always visits.

"I got two older twin sisters, and an older brother. How about you?" She held her phone and showed me her family.

"I only got a sister and a nephew who is turning five this month" I turned the wheels to park

"Greet him a happy birthday from me" She said, getting her seatbelt off

We got off of the car and headed to the entrance of the diner, I opened the door for her and she thanked me.

We sat next to the window, a waitress gave us a menu and suggestions.

"You could customize your own burger and it comes with fries and unlimited drinks" I looked at Lizzie

"That would be nice" She nodded at the waitress that gave us two sheets of paper and pen. It has the choices for us to pick.

We pick our fillings for our burger and gave her the papers.

"Can we also have wings and extra fries" I'm embarassed, blushing. I can't help it, I'm really hungry.

As the waitress left, I heard Lizzie giggle.

"Could you share the fries? I'm starving" She smiled at me. Her smile made me comfortable again

"Thanks for bringing me here" She observed the place, The atmosphere was really warm and comforting.

"Your welcome"

We continued our conversation about family then it became to hobbies and like then to love life again. As we started the topic the food came, still smoking hot.

"You never had your first kiss?" I poured her some ice tea.

"Yep" I saw her cut her burger into quarters, and took the bottle of special sauce and poured it into her plate next to her fries.

We began to eat, I saw her expression for her first bite. It made me smile

"How about your first kiss?" She asked.

"Same as you, Still no one" I joked but deep inside, I was hoping that the right person will have it.

"Atleast we're waiting for the right persom at the right time" She took a tissue and stood up a little bit

I didn't know that I have a little bit of the sauce at the edge of mouth, She wiped it out for me. I flinched and blushed.

"I-I'm sorry" I hurt her, I could hear it from her voice. It made me guilty.

"Lizzie.." She didn't look up at me, It made me sad. I raised my hand to call a waitress, I whispered to her my additional order.

A minute pass, The waitress came back with two shakes. I stood up and moved next to her. I handed Lizzie the chocolate milkshake topped with ice cream. She looked at me, surprised.

"I need that smile back" I said, putting the straw into the glass.

I saw her smile again, and it just made my night.
