Chapter 5 (Tough heart)

My heart softly broke into pieces after reading that letter,I know I was about to cry.The letter was by......my 'dad'.
He left me and my mom when I was 13 and now I am 16 just so you know.
The letter said:

Dear Emma,
How are you? We haven't talked In a while,I didn't talk to you because I didn't know if you wanted to or not.
Anyway I wanted to say that I miss you,alot and I would want you to come here and meet me and...Isabelle your to-be-stepmom, yes I am getting married next month,I would be glad if you come and meet your new family that includes me,isabelle,and Hanna isabelle's daughter.
Call me and tell your answer and don't worry I will pay for the tickets.You can come this weekend or whatever suits you.

Wow!just wow,who does that man he think he is,how can someone be so mean,selfish,stone hearted,dumb and trust me I don't mind calling him that.
He has the guts to reach out to me after  THREE YEARS since he betrayed me and not only this,he expects me to go to his wedding or meet my/his 'new family'.

I knew I was crying but it wasn't because I was sad,it was because I was done with him.I asked the teacher if I could be excused and because of my crying I was allowed to go,I turned back before going and Adriel gave me an 'You are telling me everything later' look I just nodded and went out to the girl's washroom and let myself cry,I called my mom

Mom:Hello
ME : *sniffle* mom *sniffle*
Mom: oh my god Em! What happened,is everything alright!?
Me: no *sniffle* da-dad is getting married...again
Mom: I know that sweetie
Me: it didn't affect you? (Wiping away my tears)
Mom:Nope not at all
Me: but mo-
Mom: Emma darling, everyone deserves to be happy and forget their pasts,I told you to forgive and forget,right?
Me:Mom I know,I am not against his wedding,I am against him having the guts to invite me to his wedding
Mom:You must go there darling,afterall you wouldn't want to miss the chance of seeing that poor lady who is getting married to that man
Me: *laughs a bit* thanks mom I gotta go

I knew she was just saying it for the sake of saying it,I knew she was happy and she had 0 problems with dad or Isabelle.
Being the innocent soul she is,she was just going with the flow.
But mom is right! Why cry over him when he doesn't care about me.
I washed my face and went back to the class but on the way I saw grayson in front of his locker he saw me and after making eye contact for 0.05 seconds I looked away.
I just went on and I could hear him whisper my name once,I am sure he did.
