Dear Michael,

Just before the concert ended you sent a security guard to come and get me and take me backstage. I insisted my friends come along too and he finally gave in. They were so pleased and chatted excitedly as we were led backstage.

You ran up as soon as you saw me and hugged me hard. I hugged you back. I was so happy, it felt like it could only be a dream. A fantasy. I couldn't believe it was actually happening.

We sat on the sofa and talked. I told you about myself and you told me about yourself. It occurred to me at some point that I hadn't actually told you my name and asked you about it. You looked sheepish as you told me you may or may not have stalked my twitter just a little. I remember telling you that it would be more informative stalking if you looked at my facebook instead and so you got out your phone, opened facebook and handed it to me. I laughed a little as I took it and quickly typed a status saying "this is some tasty poop" before searching up my name. What can I say? I couldn't resist! And all this time you thought it was one of the boys! Well, here's mu confession; it was me.

Anyway, where was I? Oh, yes.

So I searched my name and sent myself a friend request before handing it back to you and getting out my own phone. I opened the notification and accepted the friend request.

Then, do you remember? I worked out the time difference in America and suggested we facetime my best friend ever.

She picked up and it connected. You stayed out of shot.

"Hiiii!"

"Heyyy!"

"How was the concert?"

"Better than I could have ever imagined."

"Aw I'm so glad you had a good time."

"Guess where I am now though?!"

"Tell me!"

"I'm backstage!"

"Oh my god! Are the boys there? Is Michael there? You never know what could happen eh? Eh?"

"Actually.." I turned the camera so we were now both in shot.

"Oh my god hi Michael! Wow I ship you guys so hard."

"See..that's the thing.."

I turned and kissed you, hearing Tabby gasp and squeal a little on the other end of the line.

When we parted she was literally dead.

"OTP OTP OTP" she exclaimed. "Wow filling up my storage with screenshots here what did I tell you Paige! Wow! Aw shoot I have to go! I'll speak to you later Paige. It was nice to finally meet you Michael." We waved and Tabby waved as it disconnected and I felt so happy it almost hurt.

I don't really remember much else of that night except that we talked some more, I let security contact my parents for me, meet and greets passed and I posed for some pictures too and then we went back to the tour bus with you at which point my friends had all gone home.

We sat on the bus talking for ages and even though we hadn't known each other in person long, I felt I could trust you with my life. I felt we had known each other forever.

We fell asleep laying on your bed, my head on your chest, listening to the steady beat of your heart as you sang softly, and your hand tangled in my hair as the other arm wrapped around me protectively. I'm not going to lie to you; it was something I had imagined many times when I lay in bed at night and had felt the full emptiness of the double bed I own.
