It was already 11. I left my mom and dad aloen in the living room, probably already sound asleep while a boring movie was playing. I laid on my bed, thinking about two things; the past and Aiden. So far I haven't told anyone about what happened to me at the party. I didn't want to.
The school is just filled with snakes and gossip girls and horrible jocks awaiting for a girl to be their target. There are quite a few friends I have, that have been nice to me since the start of freshmen year. One of them is, or was, Becca; who transferred schools because the jocks were 'messing around' with her at the same time as I got 'messed around', with Jared. School's most famous footballer, such a shame he has no respect in women.
My phone ranged. I quickly check and it was the person I was expecting.
Aiden
I didn't know what I did to upset you. I'm so sorry. Call me when you're ok?I chuckled, sometimes, texts from him like this one, could just make me feel a lot better somehow. So I did, I called him. In 2 rings he answered.
"...haha..hey..um..I'm sorry."
"Hey, no you shouldn't be. I was the one who overreacted. And..you weren't the reason why I got upset."
"Oh? Then..who or what upset you so much? Tell me, let me get ready my knife."
Oh Aiden, I totally forgot he can be a little overprotective.
"Haha no! Please, no violence."
"Okay I'll put it down."
An awkward silence took over before I could finally speak about it.
"Listen..there's something that was in the past is still upsetting me now. But I don't think I'm comfortable talking about it over the phone."
"Do..you want to talk face to face?"
"Sure. Come by to my room, it won't be hard for you to climb to my window."
"I don't think that would be a problem." I could hear his grin as he talked.
I told him my address and suprisingly, he stayed two blocks down. So he reached to my house quite fast. He climbed over the roof, and knocked on my wondlw pane. I told him to settle down on the chair or bed, wherever he wanted. And there and then, was the beginning of my storytelling.
I told him from start to end, and to my fail, I cried the tears I was holding back from the few seconds of my storytelling. He hugged me, tight. And all I could felt was warmth, comfort and light at the end of the dark tunnel. He held me till I stopped crying, he didn't care that there was an obvious stream of my tears at the back of his shirt. He let me go, but still holding my shoulders and looked at me straight in the eyes. His are in a colour of dusty brown, and I could just get lost in them.
"If Jared or anyone tries to lay a finger on sexually without consent, you got my number. I will run as fast as The Flash. I will murder anyone, if that means doing it would protect you, okay?" He assured me.
It felt like it was a vow, he was really committed to it. I wouldn't blame him. He put a smile on my face as I nodded in agreement. We talked a little longer and shared banters till it's almost 1 AM in the morning.
"Oh shoot! I should be going now."
"You should, goodnight Aiden."
"Goodnight Cat."
We hugged, and he exited through the way he entered.
