A/n: I am so sorry I haven updated in such a long time but here you go

Time skip to the day before tech rehearsals for Better Nate Than Ever

I can't believe I have been in rehearsal for a month. We are going to the theater today!!! I woke up at 7:00 and got ready. I put on some jean shorts since it was starting to get warmer out. I also put on a striped tank top. I put Ren on his leash and walked him to the kitchen to get a bagel before Percy and I left to go to the theatre. I woke up Percy and we walked to the imperial theatre where Better Nate than ever was going to open.

We waited outside for the whole cast and we entered. They showed us the theatre and let us loose to find our dressing rooms. I went to the top level and found out that I had my own dressing room! It was connecting to Theo's. Percy came in and laughed. I looked around and I had a bed! This was so cool! Ren really liked it as well.

The cast met on the stage and we were given our costumes. I really liked mine I had some distressed jeans, a navy and white stripped shirt, a red and white letterman jacket, and my favorite some red high top converse. I walked back to my dressing room with Theo and hung up my costume. We were told to put in our costumes and go to the stage 5 minutes later.

We started from the opening where it is lights up on just an ordinary town and Nate is center stage with a spotlight and pointless bustle is happening around him. Nate starts with: "i'd rather not start with any backstory. I'm too busy for that right now: planning the escape, stealing my older brothers a fake ID, he's lying about his height, by the way, and strategizing high-protein snacks for an overnight voyage to the single most dangerous city on earth. So no backstory, not yet. Just... fill in the pieces. For instance, if I neglect to tell you that I'm 4 foot eight, please feel free to picture me as a few inches taller. If I also neglected tell you that all the other boys in my grade are 5 foot four, and James Madison, that's his actual name, is 5 foot nine and doesn't even have to mow the lawn for his allowance, you might as will pretend that I'm 5 foot 9. 5 foot nine with broad, slam dunking hands, and the girlfriend, in high school preferably, and clear, unblemished face. Pretend that I look like that, like James Madison. I do, except exactly the op. cit. plus a little worse. By the way him and I weigh the same despite our height difference I know that because the nurse told me she told it to me like it was news that i got a Christmas puppy. Life hasn't always been easy. My first word was mama and then the other babies are teasing me, but at least I'm singing my way through eighth grade, returning my whole existence is under scored. There. That's your backstory. That's it. I was always singing. That's not there is any evidence my parents weren't very good at documenting my childhood: my older brother got all The video footage clearing the first seven poops. My brother, Anthony, he's the jock mom and dad always wanted Hein that person that's always just there they have they have videos of him playing basketball, sprinting, gasping, volleying those are sports terms, apparently. But I always saying, not that there's any proof of it. No Hi-Rez shots of little Nate Foster scaring around the Christmas tree, melting Santa baby and the Clarion, silver piano. That's just my imagination of my voice again: nobody ever recorded it. But I'm getting off track here distracting me and there's still a lot to do."

Then came my line. "No pressure, but if you pull this off, you're going to be my hero forever"
"That's Libby." Nate said "my best friend" the scene changed into a backyard with a tree that you could climb but we were standing under it with this dog that was playing feather. "Libby if I don't pull this off and make it back home by tomorrow night, I'm dead. Like, my parents will never let me leave western Pennsylvania again"
Nate has a backpack that he is hugging to his chest and it is the funniest thing ever!

"I'm serious, Lib. If anything goes wrong, my pencil never let me leave home again. Ever"
"luckily they never let you out of the home before, either. So if you get permanently grounded for this, Nate, you don't really know what you're missing out on anyway"
We watch the dog for a little bit then look at each other again. "so we're good on the alibi?" I say. "Yeah. We're good. I'll cover your dog sitting duties well Anthony goes off to another track meet tomorrow. If anybody called your landline, I'll pick up the phone in disguise my voice is yours. Now, let's go over what happens if anybody tries to kidnap you" I say.
"I'll make myself throw up just like he told me"
"that's right"
"Libby? What if I can't threw up? What if I haven't had anything to eat?"
I hand and ate a box of donuts. And he says "you're so good to me how God maybe I should just stay home? This is crazy"

The scene keeps going and before I know it we are already to the part where Nate is doing his monologue. This is my favorite part. "funny you should ask about my mom, sir, I figure you might do that, hear this might be the last thing you bring up when somebody's little as me, As little looking as me, walks in your greyhound ticket counter, counter were you doing a heckuva job Manning, request to take it out of here. It's downright Ludacris, help me as much, but on the topic of my mom: she's just in the bathroom. And I'm sure she'll be out in a minute, but she's going through a bit of a stomach element and I asked that I please please take care of my ticket, alone, before she gets out. It's tough thing to have a mom with a stomachache all night, when you barely have a dad at all!"

We finished out the run without a hitch and we got to go back to our dressing rooms where we met our child guardians/ dressers. I found mine her name was heather. She was sitting with Ren on her lap. "I see you have met Ren" I said while laughing. "Yeah" she said. "Are you even allowed to bring him?"
"Yeah I mean Tim likes him and he keeps me from having panic attacks"
"Neato. Well so I am your guardian. So will be making it so you make your entrances on time and stuff. And also your dresser so I will help you with the mic and Geri g into costumes and stuff. Speaking of which you have some more costumes"

Heather showed me the other costumes. They were just some different jeans and a white shirt and a navy shirt.

Percy picked me up and drove me home. It was so nice to go to bed finally.
