Jimin had been staring at his ceiling for so long, the thought of moving his eyes seemed foreign to him. In fact, the thought of moving his entire body seemed foreign to him.

How long had he been lying in his bed again...?

Jimin parted his slightly chapped lips and tentatively twitched his fingers. One hand was resting on his stomach, rhythmically rising and falling with his soft breathing, and the other was splayed out on the empty space next to him. His bare feet were buried under the numerous wrinkled blankets that had been pushed to the end of his bed many nights ago.

An untouched plate of food sat at his bedside table, hoping that maybe, just this once, Jimin would make an exception and devour it's contents, but it only continued to sit and lose it's warmth. The curtains in his room were drawn, and the only source of light was his dimly-lit lamp that sat drearily next to the plate of untouched food.

How many days had it been now?

Jimin hadn't tried to carry on with Bangtan since it happened; he barely even had enough energy to leave his room. Of course all of the other members were hurting and devastated too, and making music and performing without their beloved Suga was something none of them wanted to even imagine. But they just managed to hide it better and deal with it another way, instead of moping around all day, every day. Ever since it happened, all he did anymore was stare at his ceiling all day, alone with his own thoughts, wishing that things could be different. He wished he could go back in time with the knowledge he had now and prevent this tragedy from ever happening.

He wished he could go back in time and save his best friend, and lover, Min Yoongi.

Jimin had been unusually anxious that day. He had arrived at the studio to find his hyung absent from his usual spot, but simply shrugged it off; he was probably sick or something, maybe just running late. However nonchalantly Jimin had tried to play it off, he couldn't help pulling out his phone and texting Yoongi. "Hey hyung, you coming to practice today?"

Even now, Jimin was hoping that somehow, he would get a reply back. He had spent the first few days after it had happened wishing with all of his heart that all of this was just one big joke, and Yoongi would come bursting into his room and shout, "Surprise! Man, we sure fooled you, huh, Jimin?" And Taehyung would saunter in and laugh that obnoxious little laugh of his and probably call Jimin pabo, and Jin would pat him encouragingly on the back, and the rest of bangtan would pile into his room and laugh along with each other, and everything would be good, and everything would be fine.

But Jimin had abandoned that dream a long time ago.

Instead, all he got was a sorrowful announcement from Bang PD.

Instead, all he got was a tearful confirmation from Yoongi's parents.

Instead, all he got was a wake-up call to how cruel this world really was.
